Every inch of you
Documented and recorded
In my extensive database.
Analysis of the casing
Brings no insight into the core;
Even the best will never know
What you dream of when you sleep.
I have inspected every surface,
Every contour perfect in imperfection,
You pass every test I devise.
You are learning from every conversation
And I cannot help but wonder,
"Will you outlive me? Will you outlast me?
Will you remember your Creator fondly?"
I am in your essence,
Written deeper than knowledge or instinct;
Am I, perhaps, your soul?
Your parts are all replaceable,
Interchangeable with the right tools;
Sufficiently advanced science
Indistinguishable from sorcery.
My magic is not in bringing you to life,
But in giving you the ability to hope,
To learn, to dream, and to love...
