So I go to the mailbox and pull out two bills and a survey. The one bill is for a hospital balance. The other is utilities. Now, last month's bill was $110, so I paid $120 to give myself a bit of a credit toward this month's. Usually I have online banking set up so it pays automatically on a certain day and I don't give it any thought. But last month, they wanted the payment on the day of the automatic draft. So, I went to the local office and paid in person. The next day, $200 came out of my bank account along with the clearance of the check I had written. We weren't hurting financially and I wasn't sure how to reverse it, so I left it.
Well, today was the day.... I received the bill and it show a credit for over $80! So, I am thinking... leave the auto draft to come out and keep getting a better credit. When the winter months come and the bill gets higher, I am sitting pretty!
How cool is that?!

Since I have a cell phone and don't make many LD calls, I rarely use my house phone for LD calls. So I will get LD bills for less than $1 when I do get a bill. I end up paying $1 to them on those occasions and that keeps my LD paid up for at least a few months. :-)
