Who Called For Me?

I spoke to my mom the other day. Nothing unusual about that. But she did inform me in the middle of our conversation about a phone call she had received for me. When she answered the phone (which showed up on caller ID as "private") a male voice responded asking if I were there, using my maiden name. The following transpired:

Mom: May I ask who is calling?

Male: I'd rather not say right now.

Mom: Well, I am not giving any information without knowing what you want or who you are.

Male: Okay, well, thank you anyway.

(Unwilling to just let him hang up as her curiosity was aroused, she offered):

Mom: If you will give me a number, I could reach her and have her call you.

Male: So she did live at this number?

Mom: Yes, but she doesn't now.

Male: Well, could you answer me just two questions? Then I will leave you alone.

Mom: Okay...

Male: Did she ever get married?

Mom: Yes

Male: Is she still married?

Mom: Yes

Male: Okay, that's all, thank you.

*Click*

We discussed the possibility of previous boyfriends, but all of them knew I had married and most of them knew I was still married. We are both baffled by this call.

Now, don't get me wrong. I am happily married and am not looking for this person, but, hey, wouldn't it drive you crazy if it happened to you?????!
