Picture Orbs... Could it be a Ghost?

It is just weird that it showed up.. I have never taken a picture and had an orb show up before.

It's on the boy's lapel, Amelie. That looks like a spot of something on the lens to me, not an orb. They're a nice looking couple, anyway LOL.

I see a lighter coloured circle on his right jacket lapel... but I'm really not sure what you're getting at, I've never heard of 'Orbs'... at least not in the context you seem to be implying.

I have no idea- I thought ghost orbs were usually bigger or in the background, but I have no idea

Dee... The pictures were taken one after the other and no one cleaned the lens... I just thought it was very unique...

From what I have read this has to be an orb or the other picture would be showing the circle too... the pictures are 2 different pictures that are taken...

I would tend to go with dust or something along that line. Orbs are usually larger and more pronounced. I don't doubt orbs, but I have a tendancy to think this isn't one.

I see those all the time. It is usually just as Rob says, dust that has floated into the line of sight of the camera.

I see it, try enlarging it and check for any anomalies(faces). It could be a number of things- I usually look to see if it giving off it's own light- any faces in it, how solid it is.

The other thing you might think about (going for the non-supernatural explanation) is this. If you look at the two photos, you can see that the top photo is at a different angle than the bottom one. Note the boy's hand in one photo and not in the other. Also, the amount of the pic in the background.

Consider this. A small imperfection in the lense, or particle of dust, can reflect light in such as way as to create an image. It's possible that the two slightly different angles had light angled one way in one photo and another way in the next.

it really could be anything, but it is interesting that it showed up. they do make a nice couple, i hope they had a good time.

I'd say dust, myself. When dust gets on my glasses, that's what it looks like to my eye. If dust was moving around and settled on the lense of the camera, it would create an "orb" like illusion.

Thank you Susan... and because this was taken with a digital camera ... you cannot get anyone to really take a look at it... But it is still interesting and neat to have happened..

Im so surprized that no one has said this before-its an angel! angels always show up in pictures as orbs. no ned to hire anyone about it, your not being haunted or anything. Your kids were just being protected :)

I have read alot about orbs and taken tons of photos of what I thought were orbs myself. I do alot of ghost hunting in Gettysburg, PA...love the atmosphere there. I would venture to say that is most likely dust as that "orb" is very opague instead of a bright light. I have a picture of a true orb, only because of the circumstances that the picture was taken. I will try and post it to show you what I mean. My dog died almost a year ago now and my daughter was home alone right after my dog died. She was talking out loud to our dog of how much she missed her and loved her. She then snapped four different pictures of the same shot and in one a bright circle of light showed up on the picture. Everything I have read about orbs says that it is very hard to determine whether a orb is an "orb" or just dust. Most of the time, it's just dust.
