Your Favorite Pics for the week of May 7, 2007 Member Spotlight on Janna O.

      I remember being wowed by the first photo I saw by Janna O. It was her icon when she joined Gather back in November, of this vivid turquoise Caribbean sea. I couldn't help being envious of her tropical paradise home in Barbados while I was surrounded by the cold gloom of a New York winter. Over the months I've enjoyed her photos and I hope you do too.

I've always been a very visual person. I always drew and painted from early childhood, and I was an art minor in college. When I had children, I didn't have time to paint, but I could find time to take a photo. As a matter of fact, LOTS of photos. My husband finally got a digital camera for me out of self defense because of the cost of developing all of my photos. Nature, color and children are the things that inspire me the most. I am blessed to have all three at my fingertips living here in Barbados with my husband and four children.

We ended up in Barbados because my husband was in a job where he did lots of travel and it was difficult on all of us. He convinced his company and the company in Barbados that it would be more convenient for he and his family to live on site rather than have him fly back and forth every couple of weeks. Two years later, we're still here and we couldn't be happier.

All the photos selected have been given a mini photo make-over. I've done a floral photo montage and a couple 'before and afters'. Thanks Janna, for letting me play with your lovely images and sharing a part of your world.
