Why don't I have a Harley?

Oh my gosh....tell your wife she'd love the harley too. It's as much fun tagging along as it is driving it yourself. Or maybe you weren't going to invite her along??? LOL

Bob I just bought an FDX (superglide) this is about the 25th Harley and perhaps the 100th motorcycle I have owned. I have to tell you there is no rational reason to own one, It is just something born into you. All of my bikes have changed my life in ways that are hard to describe. Almost all of my girlfriends and wife ended up riding thier own bikes. Mostly what I am saying is if you don't have the overwhelming need to roll on this road, perhaps you are not cut out to do this. Some are rational and others are irrational. Both ways work.

Bob no offence was intended. There is this great gulf of understanding. I do not know of any reason why I have against all reason always loved, lived, breathed motorcycles. If you feel that you have to ask permission to own one, you already have dealt yourself out of this hand. Owning a bike is not what we do, Having a passion for this is the common denominator. Many a Harley has sat in a garage while the new owner never felt the spark kindle. I remember seeing a shirt worn by an old time biker that said If you don't limp, you aint shit" This was as true a statment as I know. If you really understand Flathead peashooter shovel pan evo twin cam etc then perhaps ther is a hope for you. If you never felt the sting of a hard rain on your face with 50 miles to go and night falling you might want to think this out further.

No offense taken. I had a 1942 WLA in high school. If you believe in fate, the Street Bob and Fat Bob have my name on them, so you can never say never.
