One of my theories goes like this: CO2 is considered a pollutant. Man exhales CO2, thus man pollutes just by doing what's natural. Radical Leftists will begin to use this to push a Chinese-style population control.
It sounds far-fetched, I admit it. Well, here it is in black-and-white. In an article called "Eco-Extremist Wants World Population to Drop Below 1 Billion" columnist Dan Gainor calls out Sea Shepherd Founder Paul Watson for his extremist statements.
One thing I've noticed about those who respond to my posts on global warming really could care less about global warming. For many of them, it's a vehicle to another goal. So let's get that goal out in the open, as outlined by Mr. Watson:
I was once severely criticized for describing human beings as being the “AIDS of the Earth.” I make no apologies for that statement. Our viral like behaviour can be terminal both to the present biosphere and ourselves.
Mr. Gainor goes on to point out that:
The Watson rant kept on going calling for everything from cutting down on the population of domesticated dogs and cats to cutting down on everything else in what he called “simplify, simplify, simplify.”
Watson essentially called for humans to return to primitive lifestyles. “We need to stop flying, stop driving cars, and jetting around on marine recreational vehicles. The Mennonites survive without cars and so can the rest of us.”
A previous challenge of mine went unheeded: what is the real goal of environmentalists? Lay it out for us to see and judge on its merits.
I can predict what the answers will be: I'll be villiefied, called an oil-industry shill, cursed , insulted, etc.
But there will be no real agenda laid out.

This is not new however. Remember Sea-quest where the liberals wanted to kill all the cows to prevent global warming? (Then it was methane that was the cause of all ills.) You know there are a whole lot of idiots out there. That doesn't mean that everyone can do real practical things each and every day. Ignore the radical morons. They create more CO2 every time they speak their useless nonsense.
The thin shell of biosphere isn't even, just that tiny, narrow narrow range that mammals inhabit is being mucked up..
which will solve it's own problem, five, fifty thousand years, things will balance again and there will be lots of refined metal around for any replacement species to work with..
