(I wrote this article about a year ago, and a lot of things have changed since. I have decided to spotlight this article, as I really miss the farmlife. When I first published the article, I didn't know how to put the photos in the article, fortunately now I know).
My parents farm Nørgaard is located in Fjeldsted Mountains in Northern Jutland, Denmark. The mountains, however, are more like big hills, as Denmark is a very flat country, the view is amazing though.
My father has about 25 cows, and they sure know how to have a good time. They can go whereever they want on the fields, and if they feel like going inside they can do so as well. All of the cows have names such as Clara, Carla, Mathilde, Karen, Maren, Sofus, Claus and Fie, and everyone thinks it is so funny.
My brother and sister-in-law did not think it was so funny though, when they finally revealed to the family that they were going to name their beautiful first-born daughter Caroline, as my fathers' very abrupt response was. "I think I have a cow named Caroline!"
My little niece was named Caroline despite sharing the name with one of her grandfather's cows, and I am sure that she will appreciate the story one day.

How is the weather in Denmark?
;-)
Sonia, I wish I knew how to put the photos in to the article. I tried to copy and paste them, but it did not work. Do you have any suggestions?
Play with it until you get comfortable. Don't get discouraged if sometimes you mess up...We ALL have and still do. sometimes Gather tools are not too friendly and something might not work the way you want it, but keep at it until you get it the way you want.
Let me know if I can help you with anything else.
Good luck!
i wrote an article about how to put photos in to articles. - if it doesn't help, email me!
Lovely to hear about a farm and family in Denmark. I'm already hooked and look forward to many more entries from you! Thanks so much. ;o)
I reposted this article, because my oldest son has begun talking a lot about Denmark and the farm. One of his favorite memories were when we looked for the dragon in the woods.
Amanda, that's funny you said that.
I'm a vegetarian....for that very reason and I have been for more than 10 years.
Marilyn (thank you for this)
Mariana, no I'm in South Florida so it is quite far away. I just felt like featuring some of my articles from last summer, as the boys and I really miss Denmark and everyone at the moment.
