Climatologiest Reid Bryson plainly laid out what he thinks of global warming.
“All this argument is the temperature going up or not, it’s absurd,” Bryson continues. “Of course it’s going up. It has gone up since the early 1800s, before the Industrial Revolution, because we’re coming out of the Little Ice Age, not because we’re putting more carbon dioxide into the air.”
Little Ice Age? That’s what chased the Vikings out of Greenland after they’d farmed there for a few hundred years during the Mediaeval Warm Period, an earlier run of a few centuries when the planet was very likely warmer than it is now, without any help from industrial activity in making it that way. What’s called “proxy evidence”—assorted clues extrapolated from marine sediment cores, pollen specimens, and tree-ring data—helps reconstruct the climate in those times before instrumental temperature records existed.
Thankfully, it seems cooler heads are prevailing.

When was it formed?
How much was there in 1900?
How much is left today?
How much carbon that had been out of the atmosphere since the raw material for that crude oil has been put back in the atmosphere?
How hot was it in the days the dinosaurs that became crude oil lived?
What made it that warm?
Agree with whom? What would be the basis of your agreement?
Sheryl: "we still can't ignore the pollutants we are putting into the air."
So you agree with the Supreme Court, which recently told the Bush administration that it could not deny authority to regulate CO2 under the Clean Air Act. This gave legal definition to CO2 as a global warming "pollutant," given its increasing concentration in the atmosphere.

Sheryl: "Polution is a detriment to the health enviornment if not actually to the weather."
There is a difference between climate and weather,

though the thing that seems to convince most people about global warming is "wierd weather." Actually, if more folks paid attention to the science, we all wouldn't have imagine we're reinventing the seasonal wheel, so to speak. Here are some links to the 2007 IPCC Reports. If you read them, your opinion will be an informed one.

Mr. Gore is profiting from global warming and he wants it to stay that way.
Sorry, bud. You're gonna have to link that! I linked the IPCC Report above. That's put together by more that 2000 scientists world wide, who actually do the research and peer review it. So, what you have "read somewhere" will have to be documented - but I think the odds are 97% that you won't/can't do so. Regards.
