There are also many different types of conditions that cause pain. Some examples are:
Fibromyalgia is a syndrome that causes chronic muscle pain all over the body. People with fibromyalgia often complain that they feel drained of all their energy. People with this condition can also suffer from sleep problems, headaches and diarrhea or constipation, making life very difficult for them.
There are several different types of headaches that cause pain. Most headaches go away and can be treated with over the counter medication. There are many people who experience chronic headaches and need to seek medical attention to manage their condition. Some chronic headaches can last days, weeks, months or even years. A small number of headaches are caused by infections or growths. Chronic headaches are very painful and over time can cause depression and anxiety as well as other medical problems.
It is interesting to me that women and men seem to experience pain in different ways. Women seem to report pain more often than men do and have more persistent and severe pain. Some studies have shown that women handle pain better than men do and are able to use more coping strategies. Women are often exposed to pain more often than men through everyday life. Endometriosis and childbirth are just two of the things that cause pain for women that men will never have to experience.
Fibromyalgia affects women much more often than men. It often strikes women who are young and at working age, but can be discovered at any age. There is some mounting evidence that it can run in families.
Headaches affect both women and men. According to Society For Women’s Health Research “During the past year, roughly 90 percent of men and 95 percent of women experienced at least one headache” Many times hormones seem to have an affect on migraines in women. Hormones can be checked by a simple blood test. One such evidence shows that when girls reach the age of puberty, they start to have more migraines than boys have at the same age. This trend continues throughout adulthood and starts to decline after women reach menopause. This study is ongoing.
There are many pain medications available on the market today. The prescription Pain medications are often habit forming. However, not all of them are addictive. With all the medications on the market today, one would think that nobody would have to live with chronic pain but that is not the case. Many people are allergic to various medications and then there is the problem of finding the right pain medication for you.
Having chronic pain can lead to depression, anxiety and other stress disorders including panic attacks. Many people are embarrassed when they begin to have these types of problems. They are often afraid that they are going crazy or loosing control of their mind.
Today, Mental health is finally getting the attention that it deserves. One must never be afraid to seek help. It is not as sign that you are week or that you are loosing your mind. There are many medications on the market today that will give you back your peace of mind and help you live a better and more comfortable life.
There are also therapist who are trained to help with depression, anxiety and other problems that come with chronic pain. Don’t be afraid to seek help and get your life back. If you are one of these people, talk to your family Doctor. He can refer you to another Doctor who can and will help you and your family get your life back the way you would like.

One of the conditions that causes me a lot of pain is trigeminal neurolgia. It's concentrated in the face andit feels like I have a toothace in my eye tooth.
One thing I do want to mention is prescription pain medicine. They can be very helpful, but the number of accidental overdoses is on the rise all over the country. If you take these medicines, I recommend keeping a dose log and having a trusted friend that can also monitor your pain prescription use. An addiction just adds to the problems.
I hope your daughter will benefit from the article. Thanks for your comment
People with chronic pain is a unique problem as it can lead to so many other problems. Chronic pain is something that nobody can understant unless they have experienced it. I am sorry that you are dealing with such pain. I do hope you find some relief
Physical pain can lead to emotional pain. It is so hard when you live with chronic pain that is physical. After a while, emotional pain tends to set in and your body is just so weak from the chronic pain that it is difficult to deal with it. Thanks for your comment.

I heard that. My chronic pain is in my head also. It never goes away. I have fought it since 1986 and I am tired of fighting. I am just so tired and need to regroup to get myself back on track again. Thanks for your comment.
I hope you will go to see a Doctor. You dont have to do it alone. There are many medications that can help you somewhat. Do you have a neorologist?
I see alot of patients in my neorologist with Fibro. I think they are having some luck with botox injections for it. I am not sure if it is FDA approved yet though.
my husband just started having pain in his knee. I have suggested that he go to the Dr but he says it come with the job when you are a mechanic on large heavy equipment.
I hope you feel better soon.
When we owned our 90 seater restaurant I used to have 3 day migraines, which were actually panic attacks and I didn't know what they were at the time.
That Is really interesting. Did the Doctors think they were migarines?
Thank You, I hope you can use the information

Yes, I do with you much luck
None of which ever stop. - and yes I've been given medication...
unfortunately, it does not stop the pain(does't even dull it much) and makes me too groggy to function. But I don't want to end on a negative so will end this by saying that moring has come and today is another to be thankful for having.
I do suggest that you make a visit to your Doctor as soon as possible. Better safe than sorry.
