It's official. My littlest foster-to-adopt daughter has become a Big Girl. She has mastered the potty! At three and a half it was way overdue. But since she's been in foster care since she was tiny and has had so many moves, it's been really hard for her. Personally I think it was something she actually had control over in her life and just didn't want to give that up, but she did it! Yesterday was her first whole day with no accidents at all! So I lavished her with praise and promised her a Big Girl surprise today.
So... We had a couple mini-surprises during the day, Big Girl bubble gum, her favorite lunch, etc. and tonight we celebrated and got KFC which is a rare treat at our house and had an ice cream cake for dessert! She's been on cloud 9 all day, walking around with a puffed out chest announcing to all "I a Big Girl!". I'm so proud!
