Gypsy Girl 26-04-2007
I want to be a Gypsy girl
Moving aimlessly all over the world
No place to call my own
Nothing to loose as I have none
Discovering the pearls of wisdom of life
As I tread my way and deeper I dive
Bathing in the free flowing water of rivers
As sun give my skin a Golden tan
Swirling my skirt and dancing
To the tunes of nature’s song
My big danglers echoing
In the calmness of night
When I turn my head in sleep on a rough mat
No discomforts as I know no Luxuries
Just nature at its best and worst
Putting beads together
To make a colorful thread
That can wrap around my foot
Or adorn my head
No rules to follow
And none are broken
Words are unwritten
And never spoken
Pain and pleasure co-exist
Taking their turn
Like rain and mist
And I want to take it all
With my open arms

Won't you go to my archives and look up Love or Magic???
Thanks for setting me into dream-mode.
Lisa: thanks for stopping by
April : A ten from a writer like you honour my work ...
Fred : I read few of your creations and will be doing that today and the days to come ...I agree we share a lot....dancing in sand , or for that matter anywhere is like expressing yourself without inhibiitions, gypsy symbolise free spirits and though I have very litle knowledge of music and flutes , I find them romantic
what I have noticed is that your poetry /stories are somehow related to Love ....
Landen : gypsy guy .... will you be writing something on that , or you want me to try that too :-) .its nice to know that my poem set you to dream
Carol :-)
Payam : Thanks for your encouraging words ... yes , sometimes I do feel like spending time with Nature with bare minimun amenities ...but I am so sure i'll like to be back in 2 days ....
"No rules to follow
And none are broken"
Is a favorite passage of mine, not so much that I believe in reckless chaos, but for the underlying principles of this concept. Very well written and full of imagery for the soul.
"When I turn my head in sleep on a rough mat
No discomforts as I know no Luxuries"
Amazing!
Gurman : thanks kiddo to stop and read .. "he is my cousin , just 14 and enjoying gather "..:-)
Iris : its nice to see that Gypsy life is alluring to you as well
I guess when I say I want to be Gypsy girl then all I see is a free world , where you can dance and walk and sing freely , but to really enjoy that you have to accept the harsh weather and to leave luxuries ....when you don't want to loose anything , you should not have anything , its more of the baggage we carry on our souls than materialistic things ....
and I do dream of this life at times when the city life is too chaotic and when my phone keep on bugging me ... I would some day love to pack my bag and see best and the worst of world , with the man I love , to make the whole experience heavenly ..
karl : I am glad that you like it ..and yes this world is fascinating , it was y'day , it is today and will be tomorrow ..
Ashish: In you too , or this one again fall short of your expectations ..:-)
This is awesome! I loved it...
"My big danglers echoing," and also the way the poem builds as it dives
down in structure. Very nice indeed
I love the sentiment expressed in this poem however. It's reminiscent of a song that's gaining popularity in the U.S. called "I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker (With Flowers in My Hair)" by Sandi Thom. If you're interested, here are the lyrics, and here's a link to the first 30 seconds of the actual song. Let me know what you think.
:-) Krissy and Destiny .. :-)
Keep writing...I'll like to read some more
Don't forget to stop here when you come to America. You will have a secure place of rest.
Jai I am really touched by your words ...
