Some very useful wisdom here. I think that the way things are today, with the general level of popular paranoia, good intentions are sometimes met with a degree of "aghast"! That is why we need to allow good behavior / actions to be rewarded, and bad behavior toward others to be appropriately punished. Then we can achieve the free and happy society we are meant to become! Thanks for posting this.

really sometimes very hard not to treat others in same manner as your are treated.--but this can be good or bad. If you are treated well, then it seems logical that the reciprocation comes easy. but if badly it's ever so much harder not to kick back. It all depends on how you interpret it.

and it's not so easy if you are surrounded by a bad situation not to give into it and be a happy member of the group. peer pressure and environment can be very strong influence in life as to the way we behave.

Lloyd, this is an introspective poem. Makes me wonder what I would do?
I suppose we should remain true to our real, better selves. The world goes round but kindness and good values make us feel positive about everything.

I almost never duck, and I love to dish out what's been dished in spades, so sometimes I get carried away. Since it is my natural tendency to be kind, I then hate myself for having been so cruel. What you dish does come back to you in one way or another. Maybe I should just duck sometimes when I don't. I am not mature enough for that yet, though. Still have so much to learn.
