You've written your first masterpiece, or at least your first blog. Well, how do you get the readers to flock to read what you have to say? Here are some tips for increasing your web traffic:
.Leave comments on other peoples blogs. When someone visits your site, visit that person's in turn.
.Create value for your readers. Nothing creates long=term traffic more than useful information.
.Use the KISS (Keep it Simple Stupid) principle. If you run across a long winded complex posting on someone else's blog, reference it and make a shorter "for dummies" version with your own lessons and tips.
.Go the the Carnivals. Submitting your post to blog carnivals is a great way to generate visitors.
.Have a conversation. Don't just post a story and leave it. Engage your readers by asking questions. Readers will come back to see what you and others have to say to their own comments.
.Post. A lot. Posting several times a week gives your readers a reason to come back to check out your blog.
