Fading looks of lash and brow
passing decades will allow
collagen and sagging tone
yet it's true i'm not alone
will you join me in my sob?
pretty soon we'll have a mob
hair is graying by the hour
inner wisdom shall empower
raise the children sacrifice
fifty-something's paradise.
Guess this 'poem' was inspired in the middle of the night by the trek I'm about to take.
This morning I'm on the way to a have a minor surgical procedure and it's the second time in a row that the front office tells me my doctor of several years doesn't have time for me.
The last effort on my behalf didn't turn out well and I'm still suffering the results of that misadventure...nothing against nurse practitioners, but if today's spider fang removal ends badly there's no telling what will happen...I may pitch what's known around here as a hissy fit!
Back later...I hope, with misgivings relieved and spider toxin under control.

The whole thing wasn't so bad after all--a little painful,e tc--and my doctor actually DID come into the room for about 5 minutes since the nurse went out to consult with him--so he swooshed in to the room and gave me a huge hug since I hadn't see him in a while.
Glad to report that my hissy fit (as Rose knows well!) may be saved for a rainier day or a more annoying occasion! ;D
love the poem, and will join you in your sob anyday, darlin'.
Hope everything turns out fine.
thanks, Susan, all is getting better!
