Over the years I have attend many motivational seminars. Some made a difference but the one that really stuck was "Each morning we have two choices for the day. You can choose to be in a good mood or ... you can choose to be in a bad mood.” I choose to be in a good mood.
Each time something bad happens, and I choose to learn from it. There have been times I have said to God “Please I have learned enough give me a time of tranquility for a while.”
Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people affect your mood. I was at a stop sign and the car in front of me would not move. I was starting to get upset. Stop he is not doing this to me, he doesn’t even know me. Thankfully he drove through the stop sign and I got to work on time.
You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live your life." Do you want to “react” to things that happen to you, or take actions of our own choosing?
Now I try to always practice positive thinking but my husband knows all my buttons and believe it or not he can get me to “react” and he get just what he wanted.
