The UK and the US, in a drastic attempt to encourage cross-cultural exchange and eco-tourism, have been working together for the last 5 years to create the new trans-oceanic swim and floatway. Each direction has two separate lanes, one for floaters, and one for swimmers. The travelling lanes will have frequent unmanned docking stations for simply drying off, or for snack food, beverage, and international MRE purchasing with solar desalinated UV-filtered water for showers and drinking, all available for a small fee payable by credit or debit card. The lanes are delineated with floating buoys attached to neon orange seaman's rope and anchored to the ocean floor at various points to prevent excessive drift.
The grand opening for the aquatic highway is scheduled for late may, when the ocean becomes a bit calmer. Boats of all sizes are banned from the lanes.

I'm so ready to try it out :)
After all google says we can......so it must be true, right?
Hmmmm.
Of course when I went swiming in the gulf in August years ago the water felt like bath tub water it was so warm.
:)
Imagine the vacations and the floating hotels along the way as an oasis for travelers. Restaurants, coffee houses...the ideas could be endless!
But hey, we'd look really thin if we were shashed flat, right? *laugh*
That hasn't happened for me in too many years to count :)
Unfortunately too many people think you can't be healthy if you aren't thin!
Now thin is another story, as I have a few thin friends, and they are exceedingly healthy. Then again, most of my friends period are really healthy too, no matter what their size.
