Today I won a contest at my publishing company, Stone Garden Publishers! And so 5 copies of my novel Hollywood Sinners are being sent to the wounded army people from the Iraq war at some hospital place. I always love winning contests and the army SHOULD read about a lesbian brothel owner who is one of the crazy characters (AND a drunk Francis Farmer, and Joan Crawford making The Women)! For the contest I was to guess between 1 and 100 and I said "16, the age of my heroine" and the answer was 25. For some reason all the other authors guessed really big numbers and so I won. I can't remember the last time I won a contest so this might be the first time and so I'm just thrilled!

Yes, we have to support all those soldiers! America should put all its resources behind our soldiers to keep them safe until this mess is worked out and they can come home! And those who are wounded can at least read a book while they're laid up and mending!
And I forgot to mention that Hollywood Sinners also has sneaky Italian gangsters who can do a mean Irish accent (that should amuse our wounded a bit).
