EDS’s new Byron Nelson Championship motorcycles, designed and built by Orange County Choppers, were revealed yesterday at the opening of the annual golf tournament. Three choppers were commissioned, one to be awarded to the winner of the tournament, one to be auctioned off for charity, and one to be retained by EDS for marketing purposes. Paul Teutel Sr., Paul Jr. and Mikey rode the bikes during their unveiling. The bikes’ design commemorates Byron Nelson’s championship wins with eleven chrome wheel spokes, and various elements of the motorcycles were made with wood and steel as were the clubs during Byron Nelson’s heyday. A chrome plaque on the side displays the championship logo.
Orange County Choppers is the basis for the Discovery Channel’s “American Chopper” series. The build for the EDS motorcycles will be featured in two episodes during May.
