she spent most of her life wanting to die but she really wanted to live another way another time another life a "do-over" like someone in the witness protection program
she wanted to free fall into that pool of life and come out as someone else lose herself in that fresh-start a victim of amnesia
she felt the wind in her hair as she perched against the edge of the sky
her clothes clung to her body like soft saran she stood there wrapped in wind
until the air grabbed her a cold coat
she fell face first a human bird with broken wings who never thought maybe the end was coming after all
Poor child. Those are the first words that came to my mind. I feel for the subject of your poem and hope I'm not being either too patronising or too paternalistic, but those are the emotions that your poem brought out in me: A feeling of great sorrow, and a wish to protect.
It places the dark and brooding mental awareness of a woman feeling pain to be brought to light through your creative expressive hand, in a calm again. Great poem.
