A kid wrongly accused of threating others at a school

This is sorta going to be like an on going blog type article.  Im not a writer but I want to get this out there for others to read and respond.  I will update it as things unfold and as I find out what will happen to this poor kid being wrongly accused of threating to harm students in our little town.

My kids have grown up friends with this kid. Hes a nice kid and has never hurt anyone nor has he been in trouble.  Hes the type of kid all parents what their kids to have as friends.  He is one of the few kids I trust my kids to hang around with. I grew up with his mother and we were friends all threw school.

He went to school the other day to find that just because he told a girl that he would not take her to the prom.  She told the school that he was planing to harm kids in their school.  The boy has been removed from school it was to be for 10 days.  He is a high school senior, he missed his prom saturday, so my son skipped the prom and spent the day with him, his sister, another friend and my daughter.  They went out to dinner then to the movies and back home to play pool.  This is as wild as this kid gets and to be accused of something like this for not taking a girl to the prom it an out rage.  This kid has never been in trouble I can not believe he is being treated like this because some one wants to hurt him.

Tonight when we got home my son was going to his house to cheer him up and come to find out he was taken in, arrested until a hearing tomarrow.  My son is at wits end. We know this kid, my daughter was there when he told the girl he would not take her to the prom and knows he did not threaten anyone. But yet he was arrested before the police bothered to question my kids.  Tomarrow they will miss school to go and support their friend and do what they can to help clear his name.

The girls has mental issues, Im reading threw chat logs that will be making their way into the hands of the police tomarrow If we can find something useful .  The girl is a nut and is seeing a mental health specialist.  I think this last college shoting is why this kid is being treated so unfairly.  When I find out more tomarrow evening I will come back and add to this.

The guy that done those shootings its still hurting others.  I just never though it would effect  my kids and their friends.  Its just not fair that a good kid has to face these charges. 

I just found this in the chat log the girl that accused the boy is saying the thing below

 (10:40:04 PM): cosmetology is fine no it is not i hate
 (10:40:12 PM): i hate vo tech
(10:41:12 PM): i wanna kill at the girls in my class

this is sad

the photo says: Tell me your cause and ye shall have right: this does not apply in scioto county for the inocent, but if you are guilty you will walk free.

Well this is pretty sad. I think people are not commenting either because they have not had a chance to read it yet, or they feel that there MUST be more to the story because it is so outrageous. But I know, this is not outrageous. How so very sad. Your son is a very good friend!

I found out a few minutes ago that the kid could not see his parents after they took him in they havent seen him since about 2 pm today and the parents can not get ahold of his lawyer. If it were my son I dont know what I would do. His poor mother, and her mother is in the hospital. I dont understand how they can do that to a minor. My kids can not sleep tonigh they know it could have very well been them they both new the girl that has accused this poor boy. I can not sleep. IM angry. This could happen to any ones kid now. My kids spent the evening with his sister and parents and grandparents.

I know others probally think that it was a good thing to protect other kids but you would have to know this kid. When I pic up my teens at their house he always walkes out to say hello, and to thank me for allowing them to come to his house. Hes one of the friendliest kids Ive ever met. I just hope when he gets threw this that is doest change him.

Geez, Angela. That's a shame. I do know they cannot question this boy without his parents present and preferably his parents and an attorney. I also know how small towns work and they don't always follow the rules. Is he under arrest? Being detained? What? Keep us posted. I'm curious as to how this plays out.

What is the worst there was no reason to take this kid in over nite. He would not have ran of or anything. If that was going to happen he would have when this all first started, the family doesnt have a lot of money so he had no where to go. Im just wondering the reasoning behind it. what did they do to him there over nite. You see on tv where they force kids to sign things so they will be left alone and that has us all worried. Were waiting by the phone for news. The mother is not even sure what she has to do this morning.

Renda if it were my child I would have been setting on the doorstep of where ever they had them. I would have called news stations and report they were holding him without counsel. I can not believe that our school system is doing this. Surely they have to know that the girl that is pulling this has mental problems. There has to be signs that someone at that school has seen to know what kind of person she is.



This shows what can happen when ever older teens talk to people online. You never know what kind of crazy people they may run into. They knew this girl online before they met her at school. Gosh this could even happen to anyone with some of the crazys that are online these days.

Our kids are always warned not to talk to strangers online who would have though for them not to talk to those they go to school with.

She will get what she deserves. It just takes time to prove that she is mentally unstable. I will keep this situation in my prayers.

Thanks for the replys everyone Susan Im in shock at what they are doing to this kid. I know Ive probally been rambling in this article but I have no other release for my discust at this point at the situation.
My daughter is so stressed out she stayed home in bed. This is america where people like that guy at virgina tec was allowed to run free clearly he was a ticking time bomb and they ignored it and the inocent are put in jail.

The boy has a hearing at 1:30 today so I will update after we come back for that. I will also post photos of where they held him over nite etc.

at the hearing only the parents were allowed to go in, the results were not good. She said she would talk to us later this evening and let us know. What a do know he was arrested for menacing and they are holding him again tonight. when this will end and what damages these lies will do to this kid it yet to be seen. They brought him in in ankle chains and handcuffs. A kid that would not hurt anything or anyone being treated like an animal. His mom could not stick around because she had to hurry off to the lawyers office. But we stuck around til the brought him out to let him know he has people in his corner.

You are right Jennifer I knew it would happen but never in my lifetime would I have though it would happen to someones child that is so close to mine. IF it can happen to him whos kid is next, this could have very well been my son.

Angela~ I've had several friends who had similar problems with false accusation!!! The problem is the school is involved!!! They do not fully disclose all of the pertinent information either!!! Tell your friend, it would be in their best interest to demand a copy of his school file along with a copy of the complaint!!! If at all possible...send this request certified mail with return receipt!!! Also send a copy to the State Dept. of Education...if any discrepancies are found on his file, they can file a formal complaint!!! Giving a copy to the state will ensure that all parties were notified, and if there is a problem, the school will hear about this!!! My friend said the school cleared up her problem, and later found that they blamed her child for a sitaution anyway ....and wrote all sorts of things in her file without her knowledge!!! Since she demanded all the paperwork, and followed up with complaints, the problems came to a halt, and someone resigned from the school!!!

They have a lawyer and I told them to request the girls hard drive and they would see what sorta nut she is, so I heard today that there is supose to be a warrent for it. YA!!

I found out today the the state laweryer was going to send him home but the judge wanted him evaluated to make sure he was not crazy. They could have done that and still sent this boy home. They have him for stalking and menacing. If he was going to stalk anyone it would be my daughter he is crazy about her. But she loves him like a brother and has a boyfriend and he has never ever done anything out of the way toward her. I go over my kids friends with a fine tooth comb and i know them before they ever get to go anywhere with them. But they have not bothered to ask anyone for character witnesses for this kid.

The boys last girfriends mom is a lawyer and she went to the procutor (sp?) yesterday and told them that she would take him home with her without being worried what so ever and that he was not crazy or she would not have let her daughter date him for 2 years. And that she does not believe what they are saying happened at all. I am so glad she did not hold her daughter and his break up against him and stood up for him. This kid needs all the help he can get.

Angela, this is a sorry state of affairs, but one only has to look at the news reports of the Duke LaCrosse team member's ordeal to know that this is not an isolated incident. Very sad, but this is where we live these days.

Ya Susan those poor boys when threw pure heck because the procutor didnt do his job. I am so glad there will be action taken against him. He had to have know those boys were not guilty the evidence didnt point to them at all. This girl if not stoped will probally end up doing something like that or worse to someone else.

The boy was released today but is on house arrest, my kids are keeping him company. I just hope he gets this cleared up where he can graduate with his class.

It almost sounds like a version of the Salem Witch Trials, this is horrible. It is not fair that someone can accuse you of something and your whole world goes into a turmoil. I believe charges should be brought against the girl, at best community service for her lies.

the day after they put him on house arrest "i was complete with an ankle braclet" they let him off house arrest, but he is still not out of trouble. I dont quite understand why they would have him on house arrest and then remove him from it the next day. and now he is in limbo until they decide what is next he still is not allowed back to school.

got to watch who you talk to on the internet its full of crazy people. and you never know what they will pull.

Angela, I know how mean kids can be as I dropped out one year in high school and upon returning you can amagine what I whet through. I hope you daugter gets to say what she saw and is not stessed out over this. I agree you need to be careful about what you post these days.

faith he is still playing the waiting game. I can not believe they are taking so long to settle this it could cost the boy a chance at graduating with his friends and that is very sad. He is supose to go into school this thursday with his lawyer and find out where things are heading. I will update this as soon as he finds out anything.

Sad thing is margaret he didnt post any thing he just told the girl he would not take her to prom and she got mad. and with the virginia tec thing fresh in her twisted mind she decided to get back at him.. this kid is going to school for info tec and can not even get near a computer because of her.

I think they are blowing this thing out of proportion. I would hate to go to school today, I know I would be in the same situation. Look at me today I am responding to your article and wishing a lot of things would change back. Do you think if are Great Grandparents were here could deal with this?

Robert I always though that when i grew up that school like was horrible, I never deamed what it would be like for kids today, its truly sad. expecally when someone can lie and take away so many years of hard work. Thursday they offically expelled this kid from school! can you believe it. We all took saturday to go hiking and get away from everything to try to get his mind off it. This is far from over but it may be to later for him to graduate.
