Sheryl "One Square of TP per person per bathroom trip" Crow has a set of rules totally different from what she proposes for everyone else.
That's what makes celebrites promoting the cause of the month so funny. They want you to sacrifice while they gain more and more.
Here's Ms. Crow's requirements for her current tour, as documented by the Smoking Gun.
- 12 bottles of Grolsch beer,
- 6 bottles of "local" beer,
- a bottle each of "good Australian Cabernet" and "good Merlot."
- promoters are directed to purchase specific booze depending on what day of the week the concert falls.
In addition, she travels in three tractor trailers, four buses, and six cars.
I guess after we stop using toilet paper and give up our cars, we'll reduce the collective carbon footprint enough for her to pile on a couple of extra tour buses.

Why don't entertainers just entertain and let the politics to the politicians?
Did she not see what happened to Richard Gere and The Dixie Chicks?? I don't care what Richard is in...I no longer watch it. I cannot stand the Dixies and turn the radio when they come on.
No wonder Lance left her crazy self.....
And the sleeve thing to wipe your mouth? Can you imagine what she lives like in the privacy of her own home? Nasty.
It is all just so funny to me.
Sheryl does not even need to worry bout my potty breaks or my snotty nose. LOL
"I don't care what Richard is in...I no longer watch it. I cannot stand the Dixies and turn the radio when they come on."
I bet they're really hurting because of your decision. Probably losing a lot of sleep over it, too. Btw, the Chicks just won a grammy. I guess they're all broken up over how "destroyed" their careers are.
Btw, do you also boycott entertainers who tout republican ideals, or is your complaint reserved for liberals with a voice?
I have no problem at all with entertainers bringing important issues to light. They have a lot more power to bring a message forth than the average citizen, and can be very influential to society. Look at how influential John Lennon was in his day.
Yeah - like how many squares I use when I wipe my butt. Idiots and hypocrites.
They are so divorced from reality because they can pay people to do what they have no intention of doing themselves - changing diapers, making sure their kids have medicine, taking out the trash, etc, etc.
The coral reefs have been dying for years, and in some parts of the world, key food chain plants and animals have been destroyed.
"2) that we're going to bury ourselves in garbage because of disposable diapers"
Landfills around the country are overflowing, to the point where some garbage is now hauled by barge and dumped at sea. Perfect. That outta help.
"3) plastics were going to cause the downfall of society in the 1990s."
Chemicals found in several different plastics have been linked to numerous cancers, as have the chemicals used in the process of plastics manufacturing.
Looks to me as if the "loonie libs" were pretty damn close on all three issues.
Wasn't it wacky wingnuts who stated decades ago, and right up until the past year or so, that global warming wasn't happening?
"They are so divorced from reality because they can pay people to do what they have no intention of doing themselves - changing diapers, making sure their kids have medicine, taking out the trash, etc, etc. "
Whatever the hell this is supposed to mean. We all know that the liberal persuasion is the only political ideology that has any hypocrites, right? Get a grip. The tiny shred of credibility that you once thought you still had just flew out the window.
There's no such thing as global warming.
Oh wait what did John McCain say the other day???????????????
;-)
Have bush/cheney been impeached yet??????
Even the liberal BBC said in 2004 that 13,000 new marine species were discovered in that previous year.
But Mr. Kent would have us believe we're dead in a year or so.
All I can say is I'm glad I'm not that miserable or pessimistic.
Looks like you brought these topics up - Clark responded accurately. "Junk science" BTW is a meaningless rhetorical device. Surely, you can do better.
1. Global Warming Is Reducing Ocean Life, Increasing Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide, Say Scientists

2. Diapers, Diapers & More Diapers "Cloth vs. Disposable"
http://www.thenewparentsguide.com/diapers.htm
(I can scarcely believe even you would take issue with this one)
3. Evaluating plastics in themselves is misleading. You have to evaluate the chemicals used in making them, and the chemical effect on human health. The term "body burden" has been used to describe the presence of toxic chemicals in our bodies.

This painfully illustrates what I've always believed about the far left. They are not about compromise. They are not about coming to the middle or trying to find solutions. They view anyone who disagrees even minutely as intrinsically evil who must be destroyed and discarded once they are no longer useful.
It's a sad state of affairs. It even sadder that they paint themselves as moderates who want what's "best" for everyone - as long as it's on their terms.
The part left out in all this is, its a joke, its meant to show just how dumb all those pushing change in our life style to conserve as the ones behind it keep on doing everything they claim is bad! Like Al Gore, flying everywhere on private jets and owning homes that use more power than a dozen homes, but yells the loudest about how we should cut back on everything we do.
