deb, ive got a $25 home depot card from gather. brett and i were discussing what we were going to do with it. paint for the babys room came up. shes really into pink pink PINK! we may paint her ceiling and each of her walls a different shade of pink. or do something with stripes. she seems to like the idea of the different shades.
i think shes done her part and the pencil and crayon markings on her walls can back that claim. ive been trying to steer her away from pink but when i see it in the stores i can't help myself. her tv is pink. so is the DVD player, vanity table and bench and most of her clothes. imagine her with a pink hat (across her forehead is the word "diva"), pink winter coat, going to school in 20 degree weather with her pink sunglasses in place. not a bit of sun in site. shes into anything prissy. we were doing the disney princess thing but decided to give them a break until they got a sistah on the payroll.
actually disney has announced that a toon is in the works that will feature their new african princess so.....
chalkboard paint is on the list but for my sons room now get this:
he wants the ceiling painted blue with glow in the dark stars for nighttime. he wants one wall painted to look like hes floating on the ocean. he wants another wall to look like the woods. he wants a piece of wall covered with chalkboard paint. one wall needs to house his eclectic collection of 1100+ books. and he wants his carpet to be the map of the world.
whew! i guess i should forget borders and concentrate on home depot gift cards!
he saw the carpet in a mail order catalogue so we're going to cheat and buy that. he also saw a bunkbed set where the top bunk is a tent. ive been trying to explain to him that hes bigger than the average 10yr old and it may not be conducive to his growth rate but you know we parents dont know anything.
