Hey Gang it is Pamela! Editor, SHINE! birthday today. She has featured many of you in here group and now it is time to feature her. I have left most of the write-up here as her very own words and I left of few of my questions in the text with her answer in parenthesis. Below is her impression of my birthday questions. That’s our Pam for you. You gotta love her!
List of questions: This is an awful long list...I will answer what I can. It could get very boring.
I am married with 4 kids (two steps). I live in Massachusetts
Nobody cares about where I work but here's what I do--I Train people in Leadership and Management, I perform public speaking, I create/write training and then facilitate training on a myriad of topics in addition to those listed above. Privately I lead workshops on etiquette, creative writing, networking, change management, and positive thinking. Basically I help other people succeed!
I have been writing since 5 years old. I write professionally and have been published in numerous places. Again-who cares.
What first inspired you to write? – I asked,
“Reading a lot caused me to create stories in my head,” she answered.
My hobbies are: My SHINE! Journal, Reading, (I read at least four books at the same time) Going on cruises, visiting, art museums and throwing HUGE parties at my home. I LOVE to have company.
OMG-this is boring. Read and Travel, watching old movies, picnics on the beach, seeing Broadway (NYC) shows and Ballet in Boston and dining in new restaurants. Listening to my son rap - He Has a CD out- and watching my other son play football -He's a wide receiver turned varsity QB.
I LOVE my two cats and my dog-all from the shelter!!!
I think rude people are annoying. And people who make assumptions (stereotypes) based on nothing at all.
The issues that concern me most: #1Homelessness. I have always had a roof- it troubles me to see people without a place to call home. #2 Right To Die issues
An important event in my life was working with Hospice and watching my children grow up and become aware of their possibilities.
What is the one thing that you would like to do that you have not already done?, I asked and Pamela answered.
“Build a Hospice House in the country where the poor, terminally ill could die in peace in nice surroundings and in peace.”
What is your favourite birthday memory that either you had personally or shared with another? Please tell us about it.
“My mom rented a playground and my party was held there-I was about 6 I think. My aunt Martha came in from Baltimore with a huge stuffed teddy bear for me.”
If you could have any birthday wish come true, real or fiction, possible or impossible what would it be and why?
“Be a successful Stand Up Comedienne.”
The link that I picked for Pamela is called, Mishra
Janelle has graciously offered to provide you with your favourite song for you birthday please tell me what it is here: Name the title and singer if you have it:
Anything by Andreas Boccelli (Italian Opera Star)
Happy birthday Pamela from all your friends at gather, we hope we have made your day a memorial one.
Note to the birthday club members. If you have not yet submitted your birthday dates to me please to so. I need to prepare well enough in advance. Furthemore, when I send you the questions to do your celebration I need to have them back, at least one day prior to your birthday.
