Earth Day is Sunday, April 22nd. We all know how fragile our beautiful planet is. If you haven't seen An Inconvenient Truth, the film about the earth's climate crisis, what are you waiting for, another ice age? ;-) There's so much we can do to help the environment and I'm sure you're doing what you can. Let's call attention to this special day by turning Gather green on Earth Day. Let's change our icons/avatars to something green or earthy; a tree, a flower, the blue planet, you get the idea. If you don't have a suitable image or photo, you can download copyright free images for free from MS word clip art and many other places. Spread the word. Imagine Gather in a forest of green icons.
I'll be changing to a different "green" icon every day between now and Arbor day April 27th. What will you be doing?

At Least Give Them Nursing Homes
Chop Chop
and forgive
certainly
Sequoia sempervirens
Chop Chop
a youngster at
three thousand five hundred
years
age that competes with
Ancient Egyptian Temples
Chop Chop
just waiting for the
undertaker of trees
when the price is right
Chop Chop
great holy moola
great holy dipody doo da
what's the price?
Chop Chop
you say?
no--a Tree can't
carry a Cross
those three thousand five hundred
rings were put there
for the wealthy and powerful
of the Earth
who while sucking
proud cigars
chant
Chop Chop
holy Trees for holy rockers
holy Trees for holy paneling
holy Trees for holy paper
to be dumbed
to be thrown away
to become someones
grand garbage
Chop Chop
Oh Pharaohs
of ancient forests
fear those
that desire
to impress with
"You've got this
but I've got that;
behold my ancient
toothpicks
old and sacred enough
to be a portion
of some "altar's
relic"
Chop Chop
without a prayer
never once known
that the sacred dollar
might be less
then the holy shit of wealthy
delusions
Chop Chop
Redwoods
great aged
giants for
wealthy two by fours
and wealthy facades
and wealthy temples
of less then ancient religions
Chop Chop
Old Bristlecone Pine
that still adds rings to it's four thousand six hundred
year old history
of nothing
just wood
that is desperately
needed for someone's profit
and impressions
Chop Chop
for the great religions
of the world and
Pope
who would explode
if someone told
him that
the dopey
saint who chopped down holy
Trees for points unknown
really did chop down
Holy Trees
Chop Chop
holy prices
holy profits
holy common sense
Holy toothpicks
holy status
Holy "I'm richer then you"
Chop Chop
"Thanks for the holy toothpick
and the holy almost extinct caviar was great
while it lasts"
Chop Chop
Chop Logic
Chop Chop
