I have no idea why but it does seem slow

Hmm, maybe I have been slacking lately and haven't really been paying attention. I guess I will have to work harder these last few days in the month to try and reach the 3000 mark this month.

I see you have also been noticing a lack of points too Linda. I guess I will be trying harder in the next couple of days.

The people of Gather have been being "fickle" lately and activity has died down...not as many articles being posted by others; which, in turn, means less to read and comment on...and less people to read and comment on your work. I have been continuing doing as I always do. While the ammount of comments I get on my posts has fallen by about 25% recently, especially in the past few days, the points I'm getting has only dropped by about 15%. I don't know if it's just the weather breaking and people getting out to do more, spring vacation break (some, I know, have gone away on trips) or if people are just getting tired of the bickering over nonsense, especially in the wake of some members doing personal "boycotts" of the site and stepping back to take a break. Hopefully, things will pick up again soon or the situation will continue to grow more grave.

i don't keep up with 'daily points'

I have noticed mine have slowed to a crawl as well. I am so close to my first goal of a gift card to borders to help offset the cost of my last Harry Potter book and the points needed are just inching up. Ah well, still here for the fun of it. :D

Not trying to start anything, but I think the "boycott" may be bigger than folks want to let on, activity is down all over the site. I believe some of gathers sheen may be wearing off, there are folks on both sides of the argument bickering constantly, and it is growing tiresome.

Jody, I truly think the difference is more due to good weather, Spring, and other such events, and not the "boycott". My numbers have been up. The bigest reason I think is that I offer quick easy reads, with some humor, or offer top picks of photos and articles which gives people the opportunity to spend less time, and get more out of it.

Points always seem to fluctuate according to how they do them. It may be more the method they use. I sometimes think it is changed via computer at irregular times so that people cannot figure it out.

how many points do you get and for what activitys

I look at my points every day and it seems TOTALLY random

My man has had this problem lately too and Gather hasn't responded back to his message regarding this. ::Sighs::. Gather always responded to us and we received gift cards (always), so now after a week of no response? Uuugh? I hope we get a response.

I posted about 40 comments this morning because I couldn't sleep so I got onto Gather. My points only went up by 7. That was a lot of work for 7 points. I know you don't get points per comment you leave but that was a lot of page views too.

points definitely seem hard to come by

I don't even know how you get gather points. But I think boycotting the site is stupid.

Recession, because there is not much to market here in this website.
