If you could change your past would you?

you don't have to go into detail here, unless you want to. Just wondering how many of you would change something in your past.

Let's see...I'm 60 years old, so I would say I have quite a past to delve into. I would change only two things -- 1) I would have started my writing career much earlier, and 2) I would have followed my faith and strengthened my religious foundation. I'm extremely happy that I have now chosen to do so on both counts. Change anything else in my past? No -- my past has made me who and what I am today -- happy, contented, at peace with myself, and traveling a path that will ensure I remain so and perhaps become even happier, more contented and more at peace with myself, and then with others.

I agree with Lynn - my past is who I am today and I like myself. So, no, I can't think of anything I would change.
I have made my share of mistakes and stumbles, but without them, I wouldn't have the experience and learning I have now.

I am sure there are just about five or six things that I would go back & change.
NO - as much as I hate some things - I learned from them. Except going deaf ..... no I wouldn't change that. I'd be afraid that path would have changed so much I'd have not met the hubby. So, No I wouldn't change anything.

I would take back some words said in anger that caused pain for the people I love. I also would have found a way to meet my husband sooner! And there is one job I would have quit during the first week instead of sticking it out several years with the promise that "your promotion is just around the corner."

Even with regretes - nope. I wouldn't be who I am today if it weren't for all of my experiences, and I'm really not that bad a guy.

Yes, unfortunately, there are many things I would change if I could. Especially if I even had half the chance to be happier.

Put me in the pile with those who wouldn't change a thing. Even though there were some sad mistakes, and some difficult times, I think that I am who I am today because of all I have been through in my life. Maybe I experienced the things I experienced so that I could help someone else going through that same thing.

I've had some rough things happen to me in the past that I definitely wouldn't want to relive, and yet they did make me a stronger person. So, no I wouldn't want to erase them, but I sure would never want to go back to them.
There are lots of thinngs I've done in the past that I regret immencly. however I believe they were the stumbling blocks that helped me grow into the woman I've become. If I had all to do over again, I'd probably still tread the same path.

I am 42 and no I would not change my past. Everything I did in my past lead me to this point in my life and made the person I am today. I did not turn out bad and for the most part I am a very happy person. There is an old saying "whatever doesn't kill me makes me stronger." I believe this may be true.

I wouldn't change anything, not even the bad, because that's what has made me who I am and given me the children and husband that I have now.

to tell you the truth i would want to go through most of it again....and if i didn't go through most of it .....well who would i be then?
