I need people's opinion.

Iwould appreciate if everyone would give me their honest opinion.  I am trying to decide if I should cut my hair.  The last time I cut twelve and a half inches off.  I am thinking about doing it again.  The length of my hair reaches past the middle of my back.  The only reason I have been thinking about cutting it is it takes so much to take care of it (I got it caught in the car door today).  My husband would have to cut it , like he did last time.  I know that this sounds bad, but I can't aford to go to a salon (my husband and are are both on disability and our income is reall low).  If you want a picture to look at that shows the most recent picture of my hair, it is posted under my pics.  Thanks for everyone's opinion.

If you do decide to have it cut, consider donating it to a charity like Locks for Love who makes wigs for cancer patients.

Courtney, Your hair is really pretty. If you decide to cut it I agree with Michelle. Locks of Love would be a wonderful charity to consider. Maybe that will make the decision a little easier.

Post new pics of your new cut. We'd love to see it. Personally, I wouldn't let my hubby within 10 feet of my hair with a pair of scissors. lol

You have absolutely beautiful hair and I would keep it long. It's not so long that it's silly looking. If it's really bothering you or you just need a change - go for it! But it looks great as it is, in my opinion.

I keep my hair shoulder length. It's easier to take care of, that way.

I agree with the above, cut and donate it to locks of love. You have pretty hair but the heats ahead...

I'd keep it long. I have long hair and love it. I think it's much more versitile that way.

My daughter has hair past her butt, when it reaches her knees she will get it cut to just at her waist again. She donated her hair three years ago to Lock's of Love and plans to do it again come this fall. She has five kids and wears her hair in a braid and up most the time.

I donated my hair about a year and a half ago. I donated it to locks of love. Thanks for all the advice.

My Hubby cuts my hair as well, and does a great job. I just can't keep it long like when I was younger, the weight of it started giving me headaches. Getting it cut gave me a light and airy feeling of freedom.

If it is bothering you, definitely get it cut, and donate it to Locks of Love.

My husband did a better job than the last time I had gotten my hair cut somewhere(which had been years). My husband's uncle (he died when my husband was young) was a hair dresser in California. That might be where he got it.

If you wear your hair long and straight, it's no big deal if your husband cuts it if you ask me! More power to you!

I'm not quite clear whether you are thinking of cutting it because you want to or because for some reason you feel you ought to. I looked at your photos. You have beautiful hair. If you have no pressing need or desire for it to be cut, I would go with what Dani D. suggested and just get the ends trimmed. But if you do have a reason that is urging you to get your hair cut, then let your husband cut it. You can always grow it back.

No I didn't. I decided that since my hair grows pretty quickly that I will wait until my hair reaches my waist (which will only be a couple of months) and then cut it. That way even after I cut it, it will still have some length to it. The last time I cut my hair, I donated it to locks of love. I am going to do that this time also.

I really don't below in this discussion as I have so little that sometimes I just have it shaved. Problem is when it grows out there is just a little that sticks stright up in the air and won't set down no matter what I do with it. Think Dagwood Bumstead.
By the way, I think girls with long hair look nice, but if I had hair, I wouldn't want to go to all the trouble and would keep it no longer than shoulder length which my wife does and I like it. She is smart enough not to ask me to cut it, and goes to the beauty pallor every other week.

I looked at your hair in your images and from what i see you have great hair to work with I say this because it's been my main profession for 19 years, as a Hair Designer I suggest a summer look, cut at your shoulders with a slight flip, consider some long see through bangs over your eyebrows, sides framed a bit but long enough to pull behind your ears.

I probably wouldn't cut it, but that's because I'm trying for that unshaven hippie computer geek look; supposedly, it's better not to have long hair because it pulls on your neck.

I've known a lot of people who did, even a teenage boy who let his hair grow out to do it.
LOL
I'm glad you feel like your husband can do it. I wouldn't even let mine try, if it isn't the inside of a computer he really can't handle it.
