This story starts out when I met this little fellow. My daughter has named him Rob. Rob Robin to be exact.
Rob looks like a pretty normal bird.

He has a nice family in a tree across the street. Ronda Robin and her soon to be brood.

But Rob is no normal bird. Rob is a bird with a mission (insert mission impossible music here). To keep all intruders in his territor at bay and the other is to make my life as miserable as possible.

This is my car mirror and one of the things he has decided he has to destroy because every time he sees it he sees himself, thinking its another bird goes in to jellous rage and looses all control of his bodly functions.

With in 15 minutes my mirror goes from looking like that to looking like this!!

If it was an old car I would have just sprayed it off and been done with it. But no it has to be the new car the first one we have had in a very long time I was about to lose my mind trying to figure out what to do about Rob and his birdy bombs destroying my paint. So I went and got this.

I was now a woman with a mission. Poor Rob didnt know how far he had pushed me. And how much trouble he was truly in. I was locked and loaded and hunting for bird. And there he was sitting and waiting on a branch above the car. Waiting for me to leave so that he can start the attack. I drawed a bead on him I have a laser pointer that guarntees I will not miss. I never miss something I intend to shot. Grant he was the first bird I've ever been gunning for. As I squeezed the trigger and with a loud crack the gun misfired and poped open. Rob did not even flench but stood there staring at me. Today was his luck day and he even know it. Fate has spoken and Rob is spared. Feeling defeated I placed the bb gun in the plastic bag i was carrying and got a great idea.

I tied plastic bags to the mirrors and now Rob no longer visits my car. Problem solved my paint is safe and so is Rob. All due to those annoying plastic bags you get at the supermarket.

You found the perfect non-violent solution. Great story, too.
Namaste, Wayne
