I always liked the word games, but loved tic tac toe too. Made my share of paper chains and repeated this with children and grandchildren, life doesn't change a whole lot if you look at it all in perspective.

I did dot-to-dots, played tic tac toe, did word searches, crossword puzzles, tried but failed at anagrams, played Jumble, did logic questions, brain teasers...

My sister was the scrabble queen...I remember playing it until 2 or 3 a.m. in the morning, watching Johnny Carson (which we weren't allowed to do, but my parents were sleeping!)

I played hangman up until a few years ago. And when I was 11-13 that family used to play a great game called Guggenheim. It was one of my favorites of all time. That and pinochle. :-)

I loved making those things that have four squares on them and you move your fingers the number of times on the top and pick a number inside. I hope someone knows what they are called. I also loved origami making.

I played MASH a lot, but we'd always extend on it and make it like MARSCHEP or something so we'd have lots of extra choices for each. Then you'd find out your "future": your house, the car you drive, the person you'll marry, and the number of kids, and anything else you want to put on there. But you'd have to put some equally good and yucky choices on there too. Then it makes it that much funnier, when you find out you'll be living in a cardboard box, married to the biggest class nerd, and driving a Yugo....Hehe, memories.

Oh, also, the fill in the blank stories. Where there was a pre-written story with a bunch of blanks. Before you're allowed to read the story, you are given a list of words to choose, like a pronoun, then an action verb ending in -"ing", etc.... Then you go back and fill in the words in order and get a hilarious story that makes no sense or is so completely random.

What were these called? Ad-Libs I think?

I used to play paper dolls..I love ixing and matching their clothes..my mom helped me draw and cut my dolls and their dresses.

I loved tic tac toe we also played a game that had dots and we needed to connect the dots to make squares. The person with the most squares wins.

We played MASH a lot--- but also all the others, but less often. I think I prefered string-based games over the word/paper folding games--- I was always fascinated with cats cradle
