Below is a question that appeared on a test I was reading to some students. What are your thoughts on it. I am interested in how different we are from teenagers when it comes to points of view. I look forward to your thoughts...
"Human rights" is a term frequently used but seldom defined. What rights should belong to every human being? Discuss

Good question!
Me, well, legally in this country at least the Bill of Rights spells those rights out pretty clearly. Personally, 1) -- well, heck, I started to list things that I believe should be rights for all mankind. There are so many and so many ways the world persecutes people based on disparities in viewpoints.
I guess for me it is a matter of exercising the tools we are all born with. We know the difference between right and wrong and how to treat people with respect and dignity. Some of those things are learned through environment but we all still have the innate truth within us. That's a bit abstract, I realize.
One way I've tried to impress this upon others is to ask; how would you feel if ...
That probably didn't make a bit of sense. Bottom line, I try to treat everyone with dignity and respect, whether it's the befuddled homeless guy begging on the corner or a senior statesman(woman).
The right to live where we please.
The right to good manners from everyone we come into connect with.
The right to drink coffee and eat a doughnut even if they are bad for us!
(Ask. com - "Dictionary Search - Your search for 'humane treatment' did not match any dictionary results.") I am not surprised by this, but that topic could be a discuss of it's own. I digress.
Rights related to basic needs would be a top priority. (relating to safety, health, etc.) Until this is tended to in any circumstance or situation, no one would be in sustainable shape to discuss or debate the rest. Each issue is its own "can of worms", as the saying goes.
Well, I'm rambled enough in one comment. Although it's debatable that I directly answered your question or not. (blah, blah, blah & such)
Freedom to marry, not marry, be gay or straight openly. Children should have the human right of not being abused. Well, I can see I am rambling so I will see what others have to say.
