Disney World Offerering FREE Dining

Heads up to anyone who is considering a trip to Disney World this summer of fall.  Disney is offering guests Free Dining for those who book a trip between August 26 through September 22nd this year.  The offer is available online at the Disney website (www.disney.com) or by calling (407)WDW-Dine or the toll free # 1-800-828-0228.

 To get free dining, you have to book a minimum of a 3 day package at a Disney Resort (all categories are part of the special) and a minimum of a 1-day base ticket to Disney per guest.  Up to a 14 day package may be booked.

The free dining includes 1 Table Service meal (appetizer, entree, drink, dessert), 1 COunter Service meal (entreee, drink, dessert), and 1 snack per person, per night booked.  Kids are considered adults on the plan at 10 years old, and are able to get full adult meals. 

This can be a great deal for many families.  Call as soon as possible to get the resort of your choice.  The free dining promotion runs until June 24th, but many families have already booked the package, so selection may be limited later on.

Good deal for those heading to WDW then.

That tends to be a slower period at WDW as it falls for back-to-school time, lines can be shorter.

Thanks, Elaine :) It is definitely a great deal for people who can go at that time. Normally, I think of Disney prices as higher than most, but I've tried the free dining 2 years in a row, and now have this year set, so I can say that it is a great deal for many people.

You can eat at all the restaurants at Disney that are normally too expensive to go to, with very few limits. You get so much food too. I have an annual pass now, so I save the 1-day ticket for later and apply it toward an AP renewal.

It is definitely worth it and I'll keep the boards posted for any other good Disney deals coming out. The free dining is great with a crew of kids and they don't know what to say when you tell them that they can have dessert with every meal!lol

This is the 3rd year in a row that I am doing this deal, though they've changed the time frame to shorter this year.

And, yes Andy it is rather Goofy!LOL I'll post pics of the massive dining feast when we get back in August.

That would be a great deal to take advantage of. Too bad no one wants to go to Disney during that time with me and I am not desperate enough in my desire to go by myself at this point.

I'm going! I've already got my trip booked! Actually I called the morning the tickets went on sale (and was on hold for nearly an hour!). But it is WELL worth it. I reserved all character dinners for every day (whoo hoo! all included!). The only thing is that Cinderella's Royal Table takes up TWO credits, so there is one dinner we'll end up paying for, but that's fine by me. Still worth it.

So for two adults and one child (my son is 2) staying at a value resort (Pop Century) for 8 days/7 nights, 8 days park hopper tickets, 7 tray table credits per person, 7 dinner credits per person, and 7 snack credits per person, plus trip insurance (not required but I got anyway - was $59 pp) came to just over $1300. Not each, but TOTAL.

Pretty good deal, if you ask me! I can't wait for my trip!

I haven't heard anything about California DL but will post if I do. Last year they had the free dining and our receipts for 7 days of dining added up to about $1700, (for 2 adults, 2 mini-adults-aka juniors 11 and 13 yrs old eating off the adult menu, and a child). Never had to say no to dessert.

I have our free dining booked. It will be hotter than the face of the sun when we go but it sold my husband on going on vacation again so who cares!
