Im posting this to keep members up today on rulses for posting photos to photos in bloom
1. all photos must be yours. Anyone posting net photos will be removed from the group for breaking copyright laws. (7/9/08) change made posting of family member photos is no longer allowed.
2. all photos must contain flowers. Seed pods or fancy grass tops and dandalion puff balls are not flowers (this rule edited 7/9/08) edited to make easier to understand.
3. no black and white images only selective color images where the flower color has not been changed (this rule edited 7/9/08) selective color added to allowed list Life in black and white accepts all black and white images
4. editing that is allow:
a. croping of the image
b. framing of the image
c. collages of your images
d. copywirght/name of flower~~is the only wording allowed on images.
all extremely edited images can be submitted to Digital cameras and photography if the camera the photo is taken with and/or editing software are included in the caption area.
5. all article must include images of flowers and be somewhat flower related. An image with a few words is not an article it is an image please submit it as such. Articles have to inclued more than a couple words. Photo essays must comtain 3 more photos with a written detail of the images.
6. a limit of 5 photos a day please the more you upload in a day the less attention they will get and the less comments they will receive means less points.
7. This rulse has came into play since all the stalking of images on gather (to win contests) and the constant use of the mass email system has started being use to what I consider cheating on contest here on gather. Any image posted in my group that is in a contest and you send out a mass email asking it to be voted on will be removed. If this Is a large scale contest I may even decided to block you and your images from my groups.
I hope this helps explain why an image was declined. If i decline an image that I though was photoshopped that was not please let me know and resubmit it.

Have a great day
No flowers to speak of here this year. We just got another snow storm Wed that dumped quite a bit of snow on us!
Moreover, sending pictures of my garden blooms is just for a surprise game for my connections.
Anyway, I`ll have to remember the above rules before sending my photos. Thanks once again.
Thanks.
.
This sounds fun!
But on lots of my pics the backgrounds blurred anyway by the camera - that should be OK - right?
(name of flower if know) was taken on (date) with (camera info) in (camera mode). Posted for Photos in Bloom (month) contest.
Since the contest only allowed cropping (now selective coloring also), I would mention that no editing was done or that I had cropped it only. If I'd taken the shot early evening I would mention that too because it changes the way the image is captured. Don't forget that the images uploaded are only allowed to be posted to the group, if you want to post it to other groups you should posted another separately (at least it was that way last month)
Now that I am thinking about it I need to get snapping ;)
