I have tried, really hard, not to be negative about this war. If our educated political leaders say it is necessary (for whatever reason), then who am I to say nay.

But I want our troops back. I want our sons and daughters home. I want to stop losing our blessed family over this conflict that will never be resolved. Because each one of them is blessed, and each one of them is our family.

I want this to stop. Now.

Well, there was one big cry for the day.

A friend I work with just found out her son has been injured in a land mind mishap over there. He's alive, but full of shrapnel and hopefully coming home, soon. When I heard about it, I just cried buckets for both her and him. I have kids this age. It's only by God's grace and severe migraines that my own son isn't over there.

This has felt like Viet Nam for way too long, now.

This captivated me, and spoke to me in volumes. Though I dont have a relative there, I feel so deeply for these strong men and women. They volunteered to fight for the freedoms we all frequently take for granted. I am forever grateful for them, and I know many of the Iraqui people feel the same way, especially the women, who were so badly oppressed for centuries. There are wonderful things happening over there now, thanks to our brave young soldiers. You dont hear about it on the news, but it makes their hard work and risks worth it. I am so proud of them. (forgive the lack of apostrophes, I dont know why, but every time I type an apostrophe this "search" bar comes up. Crazy!) Bless the troops!

My nephew may have to face a third tour in Iraq. Now they are saying 15 months!!

Debbie, Thank you!! What a timely reminder for us all. Especially, tomorrow being Patriot's Day. I am spending this in a bulk e-mail to all I know...it may make them cry as it did me.
And, it certainly will ensure that we do not forget "OUR" men & women in Iraq now and when they come home. Your nephew & your family will be in my prayers.
