Pop Century..here we come!

Well I finally did it, after all the years of going to Disney- I am finally going to stay on site. I did have other reservations at the Suites @ Old Town. I kept thinking- why do I keep not doing what I want to. So I went online last night and saw the rates, and it was higher than what I had book. But, it wasn't that much more.

I got the courage to call today and spoke to the rep and told him I have been trying to book, but it wasn't letting me. So he checked and told me a even cheaper rate than what I had seen. So in reality now this rate was only 170 more dollars- and if you consider - no parking fees...take off another 30....then you consider no driving back and forth..saving gas...it was starting to look better more and more.

So yep, I finally booked it. I finally made another dream into a reality!! sounds corny I know!! But at 46 and not feeling too great...I have to start making some of my dreams real.

ps when I told my daughter about the upgrade ...she jumped up and down!!

Someone's going to Florida. Good for you. As a fellow Long Islander to a another Long Islander, go while we are still having winter in these here parts, Donna. When you Leaving? Hey, weren't you just on vacation? That's not fair!! LOL!!!

I usually go in April , July and August! It all started when I joined this camping club- and I wanted to get my money's worth. Now it's tradition.

ps this one is in July, that's when we do the Florida rounds!!friends, family and Disney...and of course a little of that other stuff...even Disney has it's spirits.

There really isn't anything quite like staying on the grounds. We used to do it all the time. When the kids got older and we had to buy 4 adult tickets, and feed the eating machines...we started staying outside of the parks to save money, and for the free breakfasts. Last year we stayed back on site at the Caribbean Beach, which I love because of the tiny little beach and the pastel buildings...but, in May we ended up back at the Springhill Suites because my daughter got a wonderful Disney discount. When we go in May/June to move her, we are staying at the Animal Kingdom lodge for 2 nights. She earned the room by doing great with the Disney College Program, I'm not sure where we will stay for the rest of the time-it depends on her Disney discounts. There is just something a little more special about getting the closed circuit Disney tv station in your room, the Disney soaps...and all my friends swear that the food upgrade is well worth the cost, and pays for itself over and over again. You might look into that-I don't know much about it. You get a full service meal, a counter meal and a snack each day for an added price to your onsite hotel/ticket package.
