We're heading off to Staples tonight to do some photocopying of some of our older minicomics in preparation for the SPACE convention a week from Saturday in Columbus. Our major release for the con is currently at the printers, and we're biting nails hoping it will get done in time.
I'm also behind on the Boston Zine Fair edition of Caravan, but the work that remains to be done on it is layout using Photoshop, so it needs to be done on my desktop computer at home.
That leaves tonight's writing/drawing session at Borders in Hyannis MA pretty much wide open as far as what I want to work on. No word from the rest of our group so it might just be the two of us tonight.
Last Week's Goals: Get substantial work done on my next story for The Edge of Propinquity (deadline is looming), and read/review the last of the stack of zines in between that.
Last Week's Results: I didn't finish the stack of zines to be reviewed, but I did get several done. And I did get significant work done on my story. The finished version has been sent in and will be going online on Sunday.
This Week's Goals: Review two comics and a children's book. Write one poem.
Question of the Week: Do you read blogs of other writers for the purpose of learning about the writing/publishing process? Who are some that you find useful?
I go out of my way to read the blogs of writers, particularly writers who are a little bit ahead of me in their professional experience. Some of these are friends, other are people I don't know on a personal basis, but who have helpful insights in the field. Some that I would recommend are: Jenn Brozek, Jenn Reese, Patry Francis, Elizabeth Donald, and Nick Mamatas.
I'd love to hear your feedback. What are you writing tonight? What are your goals? And answer this week's question if you're so inclined. And of course, if you're local, stop by at Borders and bring your latest project to work on.

What I'm writing: a new novel that is taking all my energy. Not that I'm complaining.
