HOW MUCH TIME??

I've been working towards a $50 gc to Home Depot now for quite some time. I'm close to being there but not close enough.

I spend way too much time on gather except on Tuesdays and Thursdays when I work. Every other day though is ummmmm well its just way too much.

This is the longest day I have spent on Gather (ALL DAY) It's nasty outside. The wind is unbearable. I learned a lot and had fun reading stories, I probably wouldn't have if the sun was out.

I spend over 8 hours a day, maybe more...

I spend about an hour a day. I have to darg myself away. This site is so addicting that I could easily let the house, meals, you name it, go by the wayside. I can always find something interesting to read and/or comment on! I don't have even 100 points yet. I am such a newbie!

When I have free time during the day, in between taking care of my 2 boys, I get on here. My time is a little here, and a little there. I guess it would add up to something like an hour maybe 2 a day, depending on what's going on that day. If my hubby has the day off I spend maybe 15 minutes on here, just to check in. I don't pay attention to my points at all. I just look at them every couple of days and when I have enough to get a gift card I do, I am really not here for the points. I am also connected to less than 100 people so it takes a while to rack up points. I like knowing my connections, and I like having something in common with them. I have seen some people on here with tons of connections, and you know that is just for the points they can get from them because there is no way they can keep up with them all. They probably do rack up points like crazy though!

I been on Gather since December 2006, and only have 700 points.

It took me more than a month to even get 450 points.

When I started, I jumped in and was here most of every day commenting, submitting articles and what not. My second month here I did 3000 points. The third month, I realized that I had bills to pay and cut down on my time here and slowly it's dropped off. Now, I spend a little free time here and there. Maybe 2 hours some days and 2 minutes others.

If it weren't for the fact that I have a life outside of Gather, I'd be on this site constantly! I love Gather. But I have a home, a family, and I work full-time outside our home, so my time is limited. Early on, I tried to read all the e-mails I received, comment on articles, and publish articles and images. But now, I only read articles that truly interest me and if I have time, I write a couple of articles and make a few comments.

I'm pretty much new to gather and really know very little about the site and what to do to earn points. I have a total of 90 points in 3 weeks or so of being here.

I don't get to spend as much time in gather as I would like because of pesky little distractions like my adult daughter and her three children that I live with! There's always something that needs to be done for the family, bless their hearts. I have only been active in gather for a short time, month or so and I only have 257 points. Feels like it will be a long long time before I reach a gift certificate!

I spend my free time here, maybe an hour collectivly over the span of a day. I have cashed in for 5 $10 gift cards, and 3 $25 gift cards since October. Not counting April towards my earnings, I earn at a rate of $20 per month.

I spend a lot less time on Gather now than I did when I first started writing...due to the fact there are less people posting...and of the ones that do, there are a lot less articles worth reading. I think I spend more time writing my own articles now than reading and commenting on others. I'm averaging about 125 points per day, but that figure has dropped from about 150 where it was a few weeks ago with less people on line. My method is simple as to getting points. I try to write two decent articles per day that are humorous and entertaining and make people want to read them. I also read other's works and rate and comment on them, though as I said, there is becoming less worth reading that I skip by and simply delete. I qualified for my first $25 gift card in two weeks and have been averaging pretty much at that rate...a $25 card every two weeks. I qualified for the cash option my first month writing picking up over 3,000 points using my technique in the first month I was on. I'm estimating, by the end of my first 60 days this Saturday, I will have approximately 7,200 points...and that's NOT from posting games and "Good morning/Good night" articles.

When Josh isn't home I spend WAY too much time on gather! Last month I earned 2 $25 gift cards to home Depot...this month he's here and I've only earned about 200 points! :-( Last month I was getting between 80 and 200 points a day...but Iwas working it hard! lol

sure you will both of you as you join more groups add more people to your network it gets easy and 1500 points should take you 3 or 4 weeks. It took me 4 months to get my first 25 dollar gift card and then it has been a bit over 2 weeks after that but i spend hours and hours daily at this site. making comments publishing. Its a network that you build and then must keep up with. it is time consuming to say the least.

I just started back about a week ago with a whole 11 pts. I'm nowhere near any reward, since I'm just now up to 147 points. I've been spending an hour a day on another site that has dropped their rewards program, so I plan to spend about an hour a day here.
