I just finished watching the movie Happy Feet with my family. I hadn't heard much good about it from my neice/nephews, and a few others, but my taste varies much so when the girls received it from their dad, I had to see it.
Guess what? I thought it was great! And I now know why it didn't get rave reviews: it has a message. It seems when cartoons deliver something other than entertainment, their popularity goes way down. Like the movie Fern Gully, it says something. It's very entertaining, but when people have things shoved too far up the you-know-what, I guess anything outta their 'norm' is just wrong.
Rent it, it's worth it.

And what the cinematographers accomplished was incredible in that cold climate.
Happy Feet was very special, awesome in its animation based on the animatronics, which uses live actors and dancers. The music and dancing were great, but the messages were important and there were several.
It was fun explaining to the kids how it was so much like real life for us. The discussions we went thru made it all the better.
We've March too, tho' I haven't had time to see it. my kids loved it.
Thanks for the comments :D
