Well what a week! I have just returned from VA. I had passes still good from last summer and we used them for this week.
Colonial Williamsburg was the most crowded I have ever seen, Revolutionary City is the big draw. It dramatically recreates scenes of the American Revolution and everyone becomes involved. The characters are so realistic that you feel as if it is 1774 or 1775. The evening programs are both wonderful and beautiful.
We went to the Palace concert, a candlelit room with 18th century musicians playing. Then we went to the Capitol Ball, a 18th play and on the Legends , Myths and Mysteries tours. It was quite a week. I took lots of pictures and only one abnormality this time- in the Palace. We did pick up a few orbs in the ballroom. Then when we returned that night , we got more.
While in the Captiol building , on the House of Burgessess side- we witnessed a door forcefully swing open. I looked at my daughter and laughed. A woman on the other side of her made a comment about the hauntings and they were just letting us know they were there.
The spirits at Williamsburg are probably pleased. The town is restored to it's former glory and most likely looks very much the same as it did in the 1700's. I did go to all the usual haunted spots- Wythe house, Randolph house, the Secretary's house, Capitol, Palace etc. While in the town, I do get a sense of saddness- especially when it comes to the slaves. I just don't see how man could have caused such an injustice on other.

When we were there, we saw a presentation on the life of slaves in Colonial Williamsburg. Truly heartbreaking.
I went on those kind of tours myself. GHOST OF WILLIAMSBURG, LEGENDS , MYTHS, & MYSTERIES. The ghosts one took you in front of the sites where sightings have been- the legends - is runned by the CW and you actually go inside these buildings and are told stories by actors- most of the stories actually reported in the papers back then.
As for going with a ghost hunter! you can always start small yourself! go to sites and take lots of pictures- (just never go places at night alone), you can buy an EMF meter for around 35 dollars- some might even get cheaper(or alot more expensive). I can tell by your posts that you really want to do this...so do what I did...just started doing it!
Did I mention that I love it there. I feel like it's my home, even though I've never lived there and I've only visited twice.
