Yorktown, VA

I just returned from a trip down to VA. One of the days we took the car over to Yorktown National Battlefield. On this trip we didn't go on the driving tour, but we did go into the town. Unfortunately, the Nelson house was closed that day. I have gone into that house before and it is beautiful...and has paranormal activity. We had a chance to go into a museum and see them cleaning up some artifacts. They were kind enough to show us what they had found.

Down on the beach side of town, we walked over to Cornwallis's cave. It is a cave that the British hid out in during the battle of Yorktown. It is another site that has a history of hauntings. When I finish transferring all the picutures I took- I will attempt to post some!

it is a very interesting place William, it has something for everyone- trails, hauntings, history and beaches.

There's a lot outside Washington, D.C I've yet to see out there. Sounds interesting! Looking foward to the pictures.

Yorktown is a great place. I didn't know about the cave or the Nelson House when I went. No fair...I want to go back now!

LOL!!.. Amanda, you didn't know about the cave!! I understand about the Nelson house...but the cave!!! j/k......Yorktown is beautiful, and they fixed up the river front...you should go!

I love going to Yorktown, VA. I used to live in Williamsburg, VA. I don't remember seeing a cave when I went. It's been close to 20 yrs ago, since I lived there. But I still love to read about things in the Virginia area.
