For Robert Lunatic Fringe and John Beck with my thanks for the inspiration.
The process of flow applies to all parts of our existence and these words we write together here will pass from the understanding of all but the most arcane of seekers. I don't know if we should spend much time pondering that or not, but it fascinates me.
The title comes from the mind of Elsa Wieboldt, who created it as young girl as a substitute for "really cool," and I felt it was too brilliant to let pass by unnoticed.

Totally Flow
When I walk to the water in the afternoon
Leaves have fallen on the stream bed of time
When I speak to the hearts of my wordsmith friends
Life and death are again combined
When I sing in the words of my century
I cannot know how long they will live
For every now-dead metaphor once was
The freshest word we had to give
It's totally flow, the here and now
Not just water and not just time
It's built into everything down to the words
That we lock into rhythm and rhyme
What was fresh goes into decay
Before we know it we join the old
So I offer my heart to these fair words-
It's totally, totally flow
Throughout eternal centuries that
Disappear like evening wine
The old will say that the young destroy
The words that a culture shines
But the young go on being young
Creating where they can
And we all express a path of hope
On Earth, by sea or land
Chorus

I'm proud for whatever I did to help you set this loose, Gerry.
I may pick up on "totally flow" for commenting purposes, and I think "flow" in all its forms is an idea that finds you a congenial host, and will work with you in many, many ways into the future. I've only heard part of the sung version, but I like that start of that very well.
FLOW, LAW, CHAOS, AUM..........
Totally, totally flow.
This Flow's molecules spreading out, allowing that Flow's energy to merge/un-merge, to drive right through.....Flow- outer-visible, Flow-inner-visible, Whoosh-through-Whoosh, and Hi, Bye.
Lee--I'd like to think that the music helps it out--thank you for the thought!
Robert--you can answer my poetry with poetry as you please and I won't feel like you are competing. I'm glad you liked it and I am pleased to dedicate it to you and John.
