Well, tonight was interesting. We colored eggs. 14 and 11 seemed to enjoy it. 11 was writing things like “help me” on his eggs. 14 created some faces and that sort of thing. I did leave coloring wondering about a few things. How old is too old to color Easter eggs? Is there a too old? They seemed to enjoy doing the eggs, but they enjoyed it differently. There was more sarcasm and joking, and writing of strange things on their eggs. Anyone who knows my kids knows they have this interesting brand of humor that is somewhere between satire and weird. I guess they come by it honestly (I'll blame the hubby's side of the family).
We colored a few cracked ones. I’m not sure if you can do that. I’ve always been told that you can’t eat them if you color them cracked. Is that because they are bad or because they taste funny? They are kind of cool looking. They look like something from a science fiction book. So are they safe to eat?

their to old when you ask them if they want to do it and they say no. other wise let them goof off and have fun with it
