Hello to all,
I'd like to invite you to Roblller Vineyard Winery in New Haven, Missouri. Mary's (my fabulous lady) folks started it over sixteen years ago and they had a vision much different than other wineries along Highway 100 between Hermann and Washington, MO.
Staffed by family and friends, folks are guaranteed a smile and a welcome when they visit.
Robert (the Dad, the Granddad, father-in-law, he built the buildings) in the vintner and his pride shows in the exceptional Missouri wines he makes. Twelve different wines cover the gamut from dry reds and whites, to sweet red and white dessert wines.
Lois (the Mom, the Grandma, mother-in-law) makes sure the place runs smoothly.
Two things really set Robller apart from the other wineries in the area. There is a comfortable family atmosphere when folks walk in the door. You'll get greeted like a guest in someone's home. And the music. Oh yeah, the music. They deliver great local music from May through October every year.
In June they have a BBQ and Blues Festival with rockin' blues band from the St. Louis area. St. Louis is a blues mecca and local bands enjoy playing at the winery. In August there is my favorite event (I work it every year and I still love it), Reggae Sunsplash Festival when everyone comes Jammin' at the Vineyard. Just imagine three hundred plus folks dancing in the grass to some fine Jamaican or Blues music.
They don't call it BBQ and Blues for nothing either. Brats, burgers, and hot dogs are served fresh off the grill, and all the fixings (coleslaw, baked beans and more). At Sunsplash, Nezzie cooks up some of the finest Jamaican cuisine you'll ever "slap a lip around". Folks are always welcome to bring thier own picnics, too.
In September and October local St. Louis musicians play a variety of music (rock, jazz, folk, country and pop) on the deck.
I'll admit openly that I am slightly prejudiced. Still, I wouldn't steer you wrong. Robller is a great place to taste the best of the Missouri wines, listen to great music, and make new friends. Mary and I are often there on the weekends. Come visit. You can find more info at www.robllerwines.com.

Robller Vineyard Winery sits on a grassy hill above rows of vineyard and Missouri farmland.
Welcome the Robller Vineyard Winery. Good stuff waits for you inside.

Here is where you taste the fine wines, and all tastings are free. Buy a bottle and sit outside and enjoy the scenery.

Meet Robert Mueller, the vintner of great Missouri wines. And he has great sense of humor, too.

Rex Bauer and the Bluehawks entertain with some fine blues and jazz.

Robller wines wait anxiously for someone to sip their deliciousness.

New Haven is about 2 hours from Columbia. Some restaurants carry them and a few places in KC. Mostly folks come to the winery. More fun that way.
Hello Kjersti,
Thanks.

Now, years later I'm in the middle of Wine Country Canada and it's so much fun. Everyone (almost) that I know is involved with wine in some way. We run a wine lab for wineries to have their wines tested before botteling, I paint and sell wine signs to the wineries. I also work with the company that imports vines from France and Germany and sends them all over Canada. Some of my best friends are wine makers - Life is full of Cheers!
Your festival sound great!
