No Kick them out!
Should our borders and ports be left wide open ?
No limit them like all other countries.
Should our immigration laws be completely done away with ?
No they should be more stringent.
The short version?
1) Give them amnesty at a price. Say, $5,000. Let them bribe their way in like everyone else.
2) Considering drug smugglers get in without much of a problem, I don't think we're really finding much... still, it's fun to shake down people, so let's leave 'em the way they are.
3) I think as long as we're trying to define a certain quality of character for immigrants to be allowed in, we should apply that same standard to natives.
(Hey, and twice the comments from me means double the points! ::thumbs up::)
NO
NO
By the way, Austin - $5000 is not enough. It takes over $10,000 for the legal process. So they should pay at least more than that. After all, they didn't pay taxes...
Here's my soultion for the idot scumbag citizens. Put 'em all in a pen surrounded by a high voltage electric fence. Then the morons will piss on the high voltage electric fence ( bound to happen sooner or later, they're morons and they can't help it ) thus solving the problem.
1st, it is a simple matter of consequences. If amnesty is given then epople are seen to be rewarded for violating our lwas. And if they are so reward then at least for them the first im,pression of this country is to not only is it okay to break the law but that you are rewarded, so the next time a law in this country becomes an inconvenience to their life, violate it that is how they came here.
And for those that look to the US for a better life then what they have been shown is ignore the laws and come here illigally because it is only a matter of years before they will get their amnesty. This is simple Skinnerian psychology, anacedant go to AMerica, behavior break the law, consequence get amnesty.
2nd, take away the incentive and create a simple way to determine if they are illegal. We have to have a government issued photo ID to drive a car, to board a plane, to travel outside of the US, I would like one to vote, so why not roll them into a single national identification card. And as part of every job application you would have to show it and the employer would have to log the number. Quit whineing about big brother. Everyine has a personal identification number managed by the Feds, (SocSec#) so just ad a picture and a finger print or two (little finger on each hand). And then fine any employer eemploying illegal immagrants or not properly maintaining proper records.
3rd, make it part of all appropriate government jobs, law enforcement (local through Federal), any time a government agency visits an employer for any inspection a record review (random if you like) verifies the employer is properly recording their employees. With each levl of government crying about money, the government agency that finds a violation gets 40%, the next gets 25%, next 15%, and even if the Feds aren;t involve in any of the processing they will always get 5%, and 15% always goes for equipment and facilities for monitoring our borders. And if an illigal immagrant that is found has a criminal record for a violant crime either here or in some other country the fine is doubled.
The owner of a Mexican restaurant told me that he could get a fake SS card, fake green card done up very well for $250.00.
No. It rewards criminal behavior no matter how people like to spin it. Amnesty is one of the incentives for the influx. It didn't work in 1986 and it won't work now.
"Should our borders and ports be left wide open ?"
Not in today's current world political climate. To many asshole militants out there. After they all have been thoroughly abused, tortured, and finally killed, then I'd consider it.
"Should our immigration laws be completely done away with ?"
The current laws on the books are pretty well structured to deal with current immigration. Some modifications are needed. The 14th Amendment needs revision but it will never happen. To long of a process for rewriting and ratification.
But wouldent be funner to have them crwl through concertina wire on the promise if they can get through without a scratch they can stay?
Dan...you have an even better plan than mine ! Love it dude !!
P.S. I've been having a blast embedding photobucket smileys in my emails and comments. Thanks again. LOL.
2. OPEN?!?!?! How bout we grab about 10,000 of the little criminals, start with the ones in prison and fill in with off the street pick ups, give them a flat workers fee say 1000$ and put em to work erecting the biggest friggin fence, barrier anywhere. If they won't work throw back in the pen and add 5 years to their sentence.
3. The laws should probably be scrapped and rewritten from scratch anything else is just a bandaid that will expose yet another loophole and create another money sucking bureaucracy.
No wonder this was pushed through by executive decision....
I don't doubt that at all. Holy Moly...who knows what is coming into our country in those containers.
First it was NAFTA, then the SPP....what's next ..the North American Union ??
I do:
Who is it that says we can not deport all of the?.....Dwight D. did with Operation Wetback and was quite successful.
Once more I will say...."Take away the incentives and they will have not reason to stay much less come here in the first place."
Focus on those that hire them and put them in jail!
So do I...!!!
And don't forget:
So you can have:
Cute, Liz...animal crackers in heat! LOL!!
FUCK NO
FUCK NO......make them even tougher than they are
I'm sorry, just in case I wasn't clear enough in answering your question....

Well perhaps we should make our answers to these questions more clear. Anyone have any ideas on how we can do that, and have it heard?
