Ageing Gracefully

I hope their are some people still alive in " gather's" that remember the 50's. According to the kid's today we should all be dead or sitting in a nursing home pushed  up againest the wall. Unable to comprehend what is going on around "Us". The look on their faces when you say that you are over 50 says it all. They start to look like they are in somekind of "pain". And then they really start to look "sick". They may have just commented on your "outfit" and how youthful you look. When the subject of how old you really  are comes up! All of those compliments just fly right out of the"window". They start to speak softly and keep patting you on the "shoulder" as they're talking to you. They will start a sentence and then change the subject as if to say their is no way, you could ever go " Hiking or swim anywhere but in the "shallow" water. And then you probaly need a trained "caregiver" to hold your arm as you just float. If you have anykind of packages they stop you when you reach down to pick them up. Saying " you don't need to carry those heavy package's". They seem just to feel "Sorry" for you. For the fact that you have lived this long. You're old you can't have any type of fun in your lives. And on top of it, you are old and a "Woman". That's even worst, cause a man can still chase young girl's but a old "Woman". Sad! just plain sad in their eye's the saddest. And for some reason the young women seem to look at you in even worst way's. It's like they don't want to get close to you, just in case getting old might rub off.

Well I've got "News" for you all, it's going to happen to you! I watched on television the other day as they told the story of a girl. Not yet 30 years old who has had 37 plastic surgery proceduce's. Her lips, nose, chin, breast, behind, have been cut and tucked and probaly pressed.  And she was in again for a complete body job, They were going to cut her around the waist and reach down and pull the skin around her hips and waist up. And then sew it back up as if giving her a permanet pair of tight pants.  She's not even 30 years old yet! How many wrinkles could she of had? Then they showed a after picture of her by the "pool" in a swim suit. She had the ugliest scar that went all the way around her body. She had on a " bikini". She was talking about how well she felt about her "Surgery". I was trying to figure out what type of mirror she had at home. That she could not see how horrible the "Scar" looked. I guess a person can fool themselves into believing just about anything, if they reallly want to. She is really going to need her imagination. To imagine a man putting his arm's around her. With all of her surgery's and all of the scaring I don't think she'll get one. I man might be afraid that the  sitiches might start coming a loose, if he touches her. All of this has been done to hold off getting old. And the sad thing is she will get old.

But she could of chosen to be like me grow old gracefully! I still feel and look pretty "good" in a pair of "Blue jeans". I think I could still "Hang" at a "Stones Concert" and make a little noise. And "Best of all I like how I look. And it hasn't cost me a penny!
