The results of my Gather survey, Fiction or Games, Selfishness or Sharing, has been nothing less than overwhelming. I've made so many new friends and connections that have such great material to share. I am an awe of what transpired from this survey.
As you all may already now, the sole intention for my survey was to reach out and find other gather people who not only love to read and write whatever, but are avid believers in the process of sharing and commenting on what they read. I didn't care whether they post jokes, hand out free coupons, or let us now how their day was. The fact that they shared their thoughts on their experiences with the connections they have, and how much they wanted to find others who have similar qualities, this was what I was looking for. Regretfully, I see why a few of my connections have left Gather for greener pastures!! Trust me, I'm very upset to have lost them!! However, I'm glad to have been given the opportunity to hook up with them from their blogs and/or websites elsewhere.
Furthermore, after reading everyone's comments, it looks to be that many gatherers are annoyed with giving but not receiving. It also appears that they are looking for people who will share in the fun of publishing their hard work and receiving comments. I was extremely impressed with many of these comments.
Nonetheless, as I aforementioned, my goal was to find those willing to give and take. And I'm so happy to say I now have 6 more connections to share in the fine craft of writing. As new readers have been coming in to read my survey article, I'm still busy networking and making decisions and my connection numbers will inevitably rise. Yet, right now I couldn't be happier with those I have already connected with. From the moment we connected, we began sharing each others articles and enjoying each others comments.
Finally I would like to make public my appreciation for my new found friends and how much I appreciate the quick commitment to reading my extended short story "The Plan". Honestly, they did not need to jump into a 9 part story on their first pick of my articles, but they did and I am so thankful. Now they are waiting for the conclusion and will not be disappointed. I am in the final draft and hope to post this eve. Isn't it great to be on vacation from work? I'm enjoying it!!
Anyway, I would like to take this final moment to not only give them recognition and praise for such great material they have published here on Gather thus far, but to invite you to read their work and possibly ask them to connect with you so we could all be one big connection group who shares. We do not need to read every single article our connections post, but grabbing one or two as you scroll down your "Articles for Me" list doesn't hurt either. However, if you are not able to make the commitment of sharing, giving and receiving, and playing nice, please do not ask to connect with these people as they already had those types of connections who post, post, post, but never give back.
My new friends I found from my survey article are:
Kathleen L. http://bluezkattx.gather.com/
Webbie http://webwriter.gather.com/
Dawn M. http://butterflydawn.gather.com/
Iris J. http://blueiris.gather.com/
Travis B. http://sassquatch.gather.com/
Jamie g. http://jamieg74.gather.com/
Mona D. http://monacake.gather.com/
A Mended Soul. http://amendedsoul.gather.com/
OK. I HOPE I HAVE NOT MISSED ANYONE. I STILL NEED TO READ AND ASK FOR A CONNECTION REQUEST FROM MORE WHO HAVE COMMENTED ON MY REPOST YESTERDAY. IT ALL TAKES TIME BUT SO WORTH THE EFFORT.
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH AND I HOPE THIS ARTICLE WILL HELP YOU TO MEET OTHERS WHO LOVE TO GIVE AND RECEIVE. LETS UNITE AND BUILD A BETTER MORE PRODUCTIVE CONNECTION GROUP.
WARMEST REGARDS,
CHARLES D.

Ron- That story was excellent and such a great read. Yes, it's ironic isn't it. The many are already my connections as well. We are just getting bigger and bigger.
You've got some good connections there, if I do say so myself. Here's to finding many more and making your experience here what you hope. Cheers my new friend!
it was wonderful to find you, and i was happy to jump right in and start reading "the plan"!
and do yourself a favor and connect with faith (2 comments up) - she's talented, hilarious, sweet, and all-around wonderful.
Faith thank you for commenting. Yes Webbie is very nice. I'd love to be part of your network. And Mona who is also a new connection for me and has been so kind since, has recomended you. I will send you an Invite!!!
Jamie, how are you my new connection. You see, we are all mixing and sharing and writing. It's so much fun. My Survey really did what it set out to do, make new caring and honest friends. You are one!!!
Thanx, Faith, for that vote of faith, by following me to Charles. Yeah, it's only been two days, but I think he's one of the good ones too.
Glad I could facilitate a worthwhile connection between two highly worthy people!
Webbie, your words inspire and motivate. So glad we met on such a huge people place!!!
Ina, I was wondering where you been. I know I been checking daily for a new material from you since your shoes article. You have something new brewing? Cause I'm ready!!!
I think I have 60 connections. Most of them are 'active' members. But out of my 60 connections one should think that I should have at least 60 comments on all three of my articles and I don't. BUT...ah who cares? Not me really. I value the comments I DO get, not in number but in quality.
Charles you are a wonderful person and I enjoy "The Plan".
Jaime...you crack me up. I gotta read Lisa B. and Annie J. tonight but you're stuff is next on my list.
Thank you! And thank you Charles, it seems you returned my "Faith" and I didn't even know it! LOL!
Glad to have met both you AND Melissa F!
Jody, the man is relatively new. I want his method and his secrets. He's managed to attract and connect to the best Gather has to offer.
How'd you DO that Charles? LOL!
Webbie, I just accept people and then we go from there. I guess!!
Thom thanks for the comment!!!
Webbie I was stalking you you this week...I admit it. But you're so much fun! I also love that term "threadjack".
Can I click on all the peope listed who aren't already a connection to me and tell them Charles made me do it?
We get to say why we want a connection to someone now. I'm not sure I like this. LOL Can I just offer the excuse that I can track and read their stuff easier if I'm connected?
Thank You Melissa, sure you could blame me!!
