I forget the name of the guy that I respected so much that was very active some years ago in blowing the lid off of the secrecy involved in cover-ups of this ... I did glance at the link and some of the organizations in support are reputable. I wish everyone luck ... but the truth will be revealed in its time. Some of us already know that truth in our hearts intuition and that is enough for us for now.

I got tagged to write about six weird things about myself. I still haven't done it. I'm afraid everyone will take me off their group lists if I admit that my ex-husband and I both saw a UFO in New Hampshire a few years ago. I also had a friend in high school whose mother and she were chased by one. I had a brother who died of leukemia approximately two years after hysterically telling us they tried to get him from his bed at night in Ohio. My parents had to make him a bedroom in the basement, because he resolutely refused to sleep in his bedroom with windows after that experience. Years later, while doing research in library books, I read about a Mexican girl who died of leukemia approximately two years after having a similar experience. Hmmmm - can't prove anything, but it sure did make me wonder. I actually don't WANT to believe there are other beings out there, but after all these experiences I do believe in something that I don't understand.

Christopher, if it ain't out there somewhere you would not be able to think of it ... anything that we can imagine is quite possible ... ultimately we make our own realities. IMnsHO.

David A.: I think that you and most others are still trapped in our own time. There is a principle of technical and ethic compatibility. That is, in order for any thinking creature (such as we are) to become united enough to produce advanced technology that people must also have developed an ethical and religious paradigm as sophisticated as that technology. Otherwise, their own intelligence will lead to conflict from the universal atavistic characteristic of self interest. This means that any society advanced enough to travel the distances required to be "aliens" to us must have both a very sophisticated intellectual environment and a comparable ethical/religious sense of responsibility. We are not there yet and we are beginning to "fall apart" because we are lacking in this ethical/religious sophistication (still living the the "dark ages" of religious paradigm). We will become fairly static technologically speaking until we become more sophisticated in this critical area. As the Baha'is say, "Science and religion are two wings of a bird. If either wing is weak, the 'bird' will not fly well but 'spin out of control.'"

Thus, I am convinced that the reason we have not been openly visited (not that we have not been observed) is that we are not "ready" for contact. We are too primitive in our ethical/religious paradigm. That is, we are not mature enough as a species to interact with others more sophisticated than ourselves. We have therefore been placed in an "off limits" status until we mature sufficiently to interact with advanced peoples. This is why there is no direct and interactive relationship between us and the rest of the universe. Since we cannot be the "oldest" nor consequently "the most advanced technological" form of "intelligent life" in the vast universe with perhaps millions or billions of other "people" spread throughout it, it is a mystery as to why we have not been "visited" previously. Surely they would have the same aims to know about others. But as I said (before you forget it and jump to defeat this idea by citing crop circles, Peruvian monster landscape figures, etc., etc., etc.) this does not mean that we have not been visited. It only explains why we have not been unequivocally and directly contacted. They would have religious injunctions against doing so.

David A.: By the same view, we (and specifically you) tend to think in terms of our chaotic sense of togetherness in our as yet immature social paradigm. This is why we have so many movies, books, stories, etc. and ideas presented such as you have above that assume that war and conquest is perfectly natural. IT IS but only in the developing stage of social evolution. Just as we will have to overcome this primitive paradigm, so much anyone "out there" who is much, much more advanced than us. Otherwise, they would not have been able to advance as we are about to find out to our great displeasure.
