I just got done watching a show on video games, where the game Bully ( from Rockstar Games) was profiled. What in the world were these people thinking when they made this game. I mean, I know that it is a parents resposibility to teach kids right from wrong.
But who in good concience could produce a game like this. The game consists of many terrible things. These things include, but are not limited to, having to start food fights in school, beating up the nerds (which are refered to as smart kids), and pelting people with things shot out of a sling shot.
This is not something that kids of any age should be playing. It teaches values that are so far off base, that I wouldn't know where to begin. I mean there have already been shootings in schools all over the country.
I mean (not to say that it justifies the shootings), but many of these shootings were said to have happened because these kids were being bullied. Now you have a game out there, that basicallyshow kids how to bully and terrorizes kids in shcool. Not to mention, the whole town.
I think that this should not ever have been put out. It can harm our kids, in more ways than one.

... then again, that's just the gist of the game I got by thumbing through the strategy guide at work. Frankly, I haven't played it yet, but I must admit I'm dubious about the 'evil intent' of any game where you learn to apologize to authority figures and mostly pick fights with people that are actually being jerks to begin with.
Just a quick fyi, the "Grand Theft Auto" series of games is the best selling video game franchise EVER. The newest installment "GTA: San Andreas" is the best selling game EVER.
