I have a bird, with a birdbrain. His name is Boo-Boo. He is colorful, active, cute and above all very very smart. He has a lot of time on his hands, or beak or whatever. Lots of time to contemplate life, the universe and things. He saw me all stressed out one day and said "Want some coffee?"
Sure, you bet I did. He has a lot more to say to my husband. He has told him to "get a job", "go to work", told him one day (all in one sentence). "home from work, be quiet, walk the dog, put on Scooby Doo" How a little creature like this can learn to speak the English language is amazing. But here's where it's really strange. What else would you do home from work? What would be the ideal things to do? In our house it's quiet down, walk the dog and watch tv. Very weird..
Could you learn to speak parrot? I think not. I voiced this to my little Starling, I told him, Vinny, such a smarty, you can speak english, I can never speak Starling. He replied, with the swish, swish, baby noises I made to him before he had feathers. Ok Vinny, I do know that much.
Intelligent life isn't out there in Space, well it might be, but, it's also right here on earth.
