Hello to all,
That is me standing in front of the doors to The Great Stupa. Above is the Wheel of Life flanked by deer and the Buddha. What a peaceful place. Excited as I was, my heart beat slowly and regularly.
In 2004 construction was not complete. The statue of the Buddha was not gilded yet.
I laid my offering of a white silk scarf at the feet of the statue, lighted three incense sticks to carry my prayers on fragrant smoke. The smoke drifted to the beautifully decorated ceiling.
